I was referring to the side skirts that you have in the picture

Only problem you may see with the exhaust is there is less air flow through the left side.. got to keep the exhaust clean or it's noticeable that the left side is "extra"

Just brought my car in to the dealership for like the 6th time for the same problem "Check Emission Light" I love this car, but decided to approach the lemon initiative. Contacted Acura Customer Service and they sent my case in to be reviewed and they'll contact by the end of tomorrow. Maybe a refund in progress? I'd take a compensation. Like all the accessories

Ride height in the second pic looks much better than the first.
Did you need a camber kit to go lower or did it tuck nicely?

Which one do you daily?

Lightbulb MarysVille

Honda will transfer production of its entry-level luxury compact, the Acura ILX sedan, to its Marysville plant from Indiana by the end of the year to better meet consumer demand and future production needs.

Marysville production of a second Acura model — the plant already produces the Acura TL, which will be replaced this summer by the TLX — is expected to start in early 2015.

Neither employment numbers nor daily production levels are expected to change at either plant.

“Flexibility, in terms of both technology and associate skills, is a key attribute of our plants,” said Jim Wehrman, senior vice president at Honda of America Manufacturing, in a written statement.

Honda’s plant in Marysville employs about 4,400 workers and can produce up to 440,000 cars a year, said spokesman Ron Lietzke.

Honda’s plant in Greensburg, Ind., has the capacity to make 250,000 cars a year and employs about 2,000 workers, Lietzke said. Honda Manufacturing of Indiana launched Acura ILX production in April, producing 17,196 cars in 2013.

“The Indiana plant will continue to play a critical role in meeting customers’ needs,” Wehrman said. “The product transfer will allow the Indiana plant to prepare for future opportunities.”

Acura’s car sales fell 10% last year, helping to cancel out much of the luxury brand’s 21% increase in SUV sales.

Making 2 Acura models in Marysville “is really a move toward economies of scale,” said Jesse Toprak, chief analyst for car-shopping website Cars.com.

“That has a lot to do with efficiency of production scheduling and the costs of bringing materials to 1 plant instead of 2,” Toprak said.

Employees also benefit from working on multiple models, he said.

Very interesting; thanks for sharing this. Could be a good strategic move in an effort to differentiate the ILX from its Civic sibling. Currently at the Greensburg plant, the ILX is made side by side with the Civic. If it moves to Marysville, maybe it will begin to share more components with TLX instead.

The front is the same height in both pics, the rear is slightly lower in the 2nd pic by 1/2 inch. fronts have the camber plates adjusted and the rear is on spc camber kits. I daily the 2nd.

Looks like it won't scrape as bad as the sti lip. Looks good.

And sorry I'm confused with your camber kit answer.
Do you have anything other than om hardware for the camber. I know you're rockin d2 coils but I want to know if that's how the wheels camber out stock or if you had to adjust them any.

Bump the chat thread...

Pro-Kit Springs already popped the rear struts. New girlfriend was complaining that the rear end bounced a lot and I hadn't really noticed it. Stopped to get gas and checked to see if the springs were bound.. hydraluic fluid all over the place.

So I am ordering new struts/shocks and swapping them out this next week.

Just seen a white ILX (possibly lowered?) with a blacked out grill, roof and taillights in Mebane NC. Who are you? Phone was dead and I was moving in traffic so no pics.

hey guys. Been a while. Considering getting back into an Acura via the competitive TLX lease rates. That or try getting into an ILX again. Any word on when the 2015 will drop? If that 206hp earth dreams engine comes into the ILX, I'm getting it.

Not enough for my liking. LOL

Most recent were the new wheels. Probably going to pick up some new spacers soon and a catless header until I need to smog.

I'm obsessed with my wheels. hahaha I'll walk out into the garage just to look at them and make sure they are still clean. hahahahaha

If you pick up the 16' ILX you will officially be the second ILX to make me jealous as fawk.

Bahahaha. Yeah Im clearly on here more than most if not all the ILX owners. I wouldnt even consider myself close at holding down the actually tuning of the ilx. Loso has the VIP game on lock. Aaron's got pretty much all So Cal loving his racekor, and OSU hands down took the reigns of the performance side of things since Trent went MIA. Hope all is going well with him, I remember he was looking to sell the SC for his own reasons.

Maybe I can claim to hold down the non 2.4 area but if I tried to make that claim pockets or ivtecnotoftenenough will come in and tell me I suck for owning a 2.slow.

Cool Ohio

The list of Ohio-made vehicles has now expanded by 1 with the start of Acura ILX production today in Marysville.

Honda, which owns Acura, said last year that it was moving assembly of the compact car to Marysville from Greensburg, Ind., which had produced it since the model’s debut in 2012.

The automaker sold 17,854 units of the ILX last year in the United States, down 13% from the prior year. It is part of a sedan lineup that is trying to regain some momentum after several years of disappointing sales.

Honda envisions the ILX as an entry-level model for Acura, smaller and less expensive than the TLX, which is also made in Marysville.

“This year marks the 20th anniversary of the start of Acura production in Ohio, so the introduction of the ILX is another exciting stage in our history with the Acura brand,” said plant manager Rob May, in a statement. “Our associates are applying our tremendous experience in producing high quality Acura products and will leverage the production of TLX and ILX in 1 plant to meet the high expectations of our Acura customers.”

The 2015 ILX has a base price of $27,050. The Marysville plant is making the 2016 model, which will go on sale Feb. 10.

The plant’s main product is the Honda Accord, which sold 388,374 units last year.
