Comprehensive KB1/KB2 Mod List - Need Input

I got a request from a member to make a sticky thread detailing all of the known available mods to the KB1/KB2 like the TL forum has. I think it is a great idea for both noobs and OGs alike to have all of that info in one concise, easy to find place. However, I don't have the time to build it up in a manner that would do justice, so I want some help.

If you know of a mod that is made for or a direct replacement on the KB1 or KB2 (or both), please share it in this thread. Once we have a list that covers most of everything, I will compile the info into a clean post and sticky that thread.

With that in mind, this thread can digress into discussions about the mods if you want. The only thing I ask for here is details about the suggested mod. What type of mod is it? Who makes it? Is it designed for the KB1/2 or is it for another car but compatible across platforms? Does it fit only the KB1 or KB2 or both?

The TL thread includes info for mods available from board vendors, but I don't expect many people here to know that info off hand. If you, do great. If not, no worries, I will look for that info when the final thread is made. The one rule that I will make here is to not link any merchandise from a non-board vendor here. We don't do free advertising, so take it to a PM if needed. Any links to non-board vendors/sponsors in this thread will be removed from the post.

Obviously there are some mods that go with any car and don't really need to be posted. We could fill up 10 pages of LED interior bulbs, HID bulbs, or wheels, so let's keep it to the more chassis/engine specific stuff.

If you mean stock, I would say no. Find the ASpec kit.

Lol you funny. Find the a speckit
I rather try my luck at finding clean title accident free s2000

I mean if the suspension is a bit stiffer than kb1 i might as well get it from kb2 because i need new shocks anyway .

Yea the Aspec kit being rare is an understatement.

Go for it and let us know the results

Their site probably needs to be updated. I didn't realize the kit was discontinued. I wouldn't buy the springs from the KB2 though. There shouldn't be anything wrong with your springs, and if you are wanting to change them, you can pick up the Aspec springs that people left off of their kits for cheap.

Yes, but many people have purchased the ASpec kit, removed the springs, put on H&R for more drop, and are willing to sell their ASpec springs cheap. The ASpec are stiffer, will drop the car 3/4", and will be cheaper than KB2 springs.

The 20" wheels from a 2017-18 Civic Type R fit on the KB2 very nicely, and can accommodate meatier tires than stock civic as well. I'm running 255/45/20 and the fronts have 3mm spacer, rears could use about 8mm spacer but I'd suggest longer wheel studs if doing that.

2012 RL KB2 with Civic Type R FK8 wheels

The car is on BC Racing Type DS coilovers

That tyre size is significantly bigger than the stock 245/45/18 tyres on the RL - they're going to be over 2 inches bigger in diameter. Surely 245/35/20 would be much closer to the right size ?

That last reply up there just shows as a ton of code to me.

You are correct, I mistakenly put the wrong tire size.

I am running 255/35/20 and it is very close to the stock tire size. No rubbing, fits great. I do get some inner camber wear from being lowered however.
