I see the front lip we used all the time. I love it.

Joey called it an add on lip. I guess no one notices it as an sti lip.
I need to pick up another so I can redo it and play with the shape a bit so it sticks out more.

Separately, did any of you see this ilx promo vid:

I guess they took randoms out to drive ilxs at a track.

That's worse than the NSA filing spying charges on US citizens.

And I thought this was the best comment to Rotas post... Just about every comment to Rota has been making fun of them.
Rota is the worst company to deal with, as a dealer and as a retail buyer. The product is garbage and so is customer service. All of this company's wheels (such as drag, rota, xxr) have filled a gap that didn't exist for many years, a price gap between quality products that have met rigorous standards in the industry although not always in the U.S. which has its own set of standards which are generally much higher. A quality wheel is more than just better materials; it's better design and better controlled manufacture. These knock off companys have allowed every ricer, goofball-wannabe-jdm enthusiast to have wheels on their car that look almost like the real thing. The reality is the wheela and the boxes say for off road use only; that means they are not approved for highway traffic in the U.S.; who wants to go fast on a wheel that has not been shown to be safe at these speeds? There is a reason that stock OEM wheels are $500-600 each [as] they are approved and have been tested to show they are safe. Educate yourself before buying any product.
how was your event? Lol, i love drinking with co-workers and trying to flirt..I'm bad

Nice! Im torn when it comes to flirting with co-workers...I feel like the women is always right kinda thing, so I don't want to get in trouble. Speaking of engineers, there's an engineering major at my marketing company who's now leaving to get back into engineering. Crazy how even the attractive people can be really smart and applied. I think we as a society tend to dumb down our potential but succumbing to trends and stereotypes...lol /philosophy rant
Flirting/dating someone at work is always a recipe for disaster. The only reason I am interested in this intern is because she is temporary, and if anything happened between us she could always take a real job later at another company.
It's a great combination when pretty people are also smart.

Review of 2.0 Premium ILX (automatic) after 10,000 miles:
PROS:
- look of the car outside - I have added the OEM spoiler and updated the fogs with Hoen Xenonmatch, the DRL's with Nokya Arctic White bulbs, and the reverse and license plate lights with ijdmtoy led's. I really like how the car looks and I get a lot of compliments on it. It definitely has the look of a luxury car.
- Inside is quality and I use the Pandora interface all of the time on my commute for work.
Cons:
- When I first got my car I wanted to mod almost everything, make it my own and then buy it outright after my lease period is over. After taking it on many long trips and using it as my everyday commuting car (about 50 miles per day), I have come to the conclusion that there really just isn't enough power. Accelerating from 0-around 30, the car is fine, but merging onto the highway or even accelerating from 50-70 on the highway, the car is really lacking. Also, worth mentioning, I am almost 30, I am not racing this car being an idiot on the highway.
Final Opinion: I love the way the car looks, but it is all show and no go.
Let me know what anyone else thinks after having the car for a similar amount of time.

Im just about to hit 7,500miles and I love this thing. (2.0 tech btw)
Im coming from a 1994 integra ls so that thing was like 130hp and way less torque stock.
The torque alone makes the car much more fun to drive. I dont see the same issue merging onto the freeway as you. That being said I drive up onramps way faster that most people so Im already at 60 closer to 70 when I start merging. A quick down shift on the paddle shifter and it picks up quick to get around a slower moving vehicle.
But maybe you're just used to more power than I am.
And maybe it is just your age that has you not wanting to mod your ilx.
The fact that it is only 150hp makes me want to tune it MORE; not less.
Id prefer to start with a lower powered car that looks perfect. I could have gone with a hand fun of 200-300hp cars with everything from 6sp manuals to 7-8spd semi-automatics. In the end Id rather build my dream car; not buy it.
Try throwing an intake and downpipe on there and see if the tuning itch gets you. Check out NeverOnline's n1 exhaust video. Might be more proud of tuning the performance end if your car turned heads before they even saw it like NeverOnlines now does. haha

Unless of course the air is simply denser. Then not as much is needed. Upgrading fuel injectors will then increase the ratio. But the above with a stock intake is all a joke I suppose.
I need to figure out AFR and how increasing air flow vs mass vs how fuel injectors work.
Users dont seem to like my trolling.. Any answers to a real question then?

are you trolling or being serious in finding the answer?
you might not know the definition to trolling if you're using it in that context.
I gave you a tip with the red text to indicate sarcasm, if you are indeed trolling, this will help others identify your troll efforts.
if you're serious on finding the answer, i'd be glad to help
Also, be sure to know what sub-section you are in.
there are different sections of acurazine, there are other cars out there other than Acura's....and we have sub-sections to identify them. "car talk" and "ramblings" are for users who want to ramble about things other than Acura's.

Sorry I can't edit past posts. I really wish I could.
^not sarcasm
You should explain them for the record though.
^sarcasm
See what I did there
Really though. I understand how AFR works and dense air making less effort for combustion yadayada. But I could use an explanation as to why larger injectors will make for more power why doesn't acura create injectors that can adapt to air flow. Id rather becauseracecar than becausetreehugger.

I dont know the flow rate of the injectors used in the ILX, but i do know that Acura gave the 2004-2008 TL big enough injectors for our needs.
its not until we start doing forced induction, that we need the bigger RDX injectors.
I'm assuming the same is true for the ILX, Acura has given you guise plenty of injector flow. and you wont need to upgrade until you're making double the power.

Well I was being sarcastic so it looks like you're on your own.
I never say bro so when I do you can take that post with a grain of salt.
I was talking about chinoxii's ilx that I saw on instagram and if others asked politely chinoxii might post more. Was in no way trying to divert traffic toward my slow progress thread thank you very much.

I love spacers! Can't stand to see a wheel sitting 2 inches inside the wheel well. Sure, you risk curbing your wheels but if your a good driver you wont have that problem and I don't like slamming so no losses there.
IMO makes the car look well thought out and more masculine.
Have you noticed any vibrations?

and nope, no vibrations. I made sure to tighten them well!
Hondata Flash Pro Thread?
I am not new to the Acura/Honda tuning scene but have a question for anyone who can help - maybe there's a better thread but I couldn't find it?
How much will a Flashpro help increase HP and TQ with the following mods:
K&N Full Intake
RV6 2.5" Downpipe with high flow Cat
2.5" Mandrel bent Piping
DBX 2.5" Muffler
Will not be putting the ct-engineering SC - just these bolt-ons plus maybe a couple other minor additions.
Thanks guys

If I read everything correctly, they are using a '06 Si K20 intake manifold on a '09 TSX K24 (The dyno chart was of a '09 TSX). What!??

I'd suspect within 20-35HP and 10-15LB-FT in gains.
FedEx blows ultimate asshole.
Never signed up for a required signature, Acura must have added that. I didn't notice that in the email since I only looked for the delivery date. My bad.
Package not shipped, I call and have them route it to a local store. They tell me to pick it up the 2nd. I get there today and they have no package, no knowledge of the package, and her tracking number finds no info. WHAT THE FUCK. I call fedex and they tell me it will be there tomorrow. It damn well better be.

bwaaabwaaaaaaaa Damn it I need to wheels. So we've got one owner on Volks, one on SSRs, and one now on Enkei's... if all goes according to plan I will be the second on SSRs. If the heavens open up I may go with Works.
