1G ILX Chat, Chit, and General Info Thread
its good to see thought provoking and innovative mods/discussions tho.
thats why I love the ILX and the 2nd gen TSX section so much!
the third generation TL section is full of babies who want everything handed to them.
Keep it up, fellas!

definitely a baby here. But, I do what I can to help and I'm sticking with the car, until next year's tax return...hahahaa forever a waffler.
I'm pretty content with the car. I got a great price and it grows on me more and more every day.
I love how few tuners there are and how I haven't heard one person share my ideas for the car.
I love that we got them in the first generation and though they will only get better with time; there is something about owning the first gen that means something to some people.

Having a serious moral dilemma tonight. The neighbor next door is in his mid 50s. He is a widowed man that has spent tons of time in his garage restoring an old nova. Man has a garage full of tools... expensive tools.
I came home from the gym tonight and his garage door was left open. I can't get ahold of the man for nothing. He disconnected his door bell, only has a cell phone and it's not listed. I talk to the guy out in the yard, but never enough to exchange numbers.
I feel bad, because I know there are some punks down the road that would take advantage of the opportunity and steal his welder and air tools.... grr, setting out lookout with all the flood lights on the neighbors house.

do the right thing, you'll feel good about it. Is there any way you can at least push his garage door down. Like press the switch for the door and run out before the sensors catch you?
His doorbell is disconnected but you could always knock if you know he's home. I know you posted this last night so its probably too late now, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind being woken up for something like this.
He broke one of his tech's 3/4" impact trying to break it loose. Tried 2 3' breaker bars with no luck either.
He's got a friend that has a shop & is going to knock it out for us tomorrow morning.
Yeah, my dad & I attempted to do it about a month ago & got stuck at the crank pulley bolt.

:sigh:... haha.
I just take mine to the dealer once the car says it want's the oil changed. Seems like twice a year is all it's going to be.
On a different note, I got paid again today from my new job. I got all excited and had to show my wife how pretty my bank account was looking. Had to control myself and be responsible though. Paid off all my credit cards and the remainder of bills for the month and still have a good portion left over (Good Portion = $600). Makes me sad but excited at the same time.
This weekend I get to go back to work, but i'm going to have my wife drop me off on Sunday. They keep talking heavy storms for the central plains and I don't want to take a chance of my car being left in the parking lot with hail.

They made it more competitive with the base model but why even keep the premium? should of made that a 2.4L trim (as it already is) then made the Tech the next step up for the ILX from base.. or something else more logical.

i like how you two DOMINATE every thread.

they're not going to do so well.
