It's definitely more active here, but I attribute a lot of that to the spillover of all Acura owners.. which is a nice advantage too. I am trying to do my part to improve that community as much as possible.

hmmm, how'd you get mod status over there? I'd like to join that forum as well, if you think it is a worthwhile endeavor.

It's a work-in-progress and is limited, obviously, with less than 200 members BUT it's up to you friend. I am in the process of getting things in order. I am not necessarily looking to promote here though.

Hmm seems like this would be the best place to advertise! Not sure how AZ (Tyson) would feel about that...

For best interest I just stay neutral on that. If anyone asks me I am glad to tell you what you'd like to know! I plan to do some things like write-ups. And, I am all for sharing knowledge across multiple platforms

yea, nobody is trying to jump ship...just trying to make sure my fellow ilx'ers are helped out...I know for a fact that when more people are involved on the forums, more aftermarket support ensues.

Of course not but some forums like to the "that other forum" thing.. haha. But, yeah I wholeheartedly agree. Forums are a free, live and consistent survey for these companies. I am hoping that the changing of motors doesn't lead to hesistance by the aftermarket.. which it might.

Going to buy GT5...anyone play it yet?

On another note, can't believe people with the 2.0L engine haven't chimed in with their thoughts on the news of the week...maybe I'll start a thread...

There's already a thread called 2.0l bye bye...if people haven't chimed in on that, I doubt they'll be vocal at all

I never liked racing sim games because the car noises were always inaccurate...it's like why claim to being the world's most realistic sim when you cant even get the right sounds

Well, I'll let you know how realistic it is when I get it! It'll satisfy my car porn urge for a bit over X-mas... What about you any plans? You end up getting your girl a gift?

Yea, I got her a gift...but, because I'm a bit weary, I won't say anything til after x-mas. I don't her somehow finding out.

In terms of plans, I plan on going to santacon, which is a huge debauchery fest where everyone dresses up as santa or chirstmas inspired characters.

The Forza teams actually hooked up microphones all over the specific cars to capture the correct sounds of the car revving from the engine to exhaust - EVEN, underload or not.. It's pretty awesome. I can't wait to see what the next generation of consoles and computer chips have to offer

ON A SECOND NOTE...

I SAW THE HOBBIT... ERMAGERD ES SO EPIRRRRRRK

The movie is filled with Dwarves and a halfling for 99% of it... Smeagal makes a return.. Gandalf is a main character.. I guess the comical element of the movie comes off as childish but the problem is those are all comedic groups.. Dwarves, Halflings, Smeagal and Gandalf are all funny to extents. I definitely wouldn't say childish at all.. as heads are being pierced with arrows and cleaved by axes but it's all in how you see things.

If you like LOTR I strongly suggest checking it out.. I did watch it in the higher frame rate, 3D version. It was INCREDIBLY clear and the 3D was excellently formatted.. BUT as far as what our eyes have been conditioned to seeing in theaters it does look weird. It's almost too clean and clear. If I could re-do it.. I would watch it in the 24FPS theater. Though the 46(48?)FPS mode was still good.

I have 3 year maintenance from the dealer and their Maintenance plan calls for the first change at 3,750 ~ that removes the break-in oil and goes to the Acura recommended oil.

Congrats on the move! So the car will sit in the new garage? By the way, how close to you was the tragic shooting?

I currently live 12 miles away from where the incident occurred. My uncle has a friend who lost his daughter on that tragic day; the poor guy needed to be sedated

Unfortunately, my car won't be in the garage...at least for now. We've got so much stuff in that garage, lol

Condolences to all the victims. My wife and I are expecting our first child and we couldn't imagine going through what these families are experiencing...

On a side note, better clean out the garage soon before the snow! Get that car in the garage where it belongs!

Congrats on the move. Are you going to have that long a commute back and forth every day? Good thing it is on a train and not in the car.

Yea, two hours to an from, but I can read and do whatever on the train. I'm a skinny guy so sitting on those hard trains seats gets really uncomfortable, lol.
