Thing with Texas is the only extreme that is ever consistent is the heat but that is only a week at a time, usually.. Texas weather is just unpredictable.. what I'd do for CA weather :\

Yea, thank god it's friday! Unfortunately, I have to spend all day moving into the new house on Sat and Sunday, but its a nice new house...only downside is that the driveway is on the tiny side...I guess it's easier to plow, lol

Good to know everyone here is thick skinned!

So what was everyone's first vehicle growing up that they were crazy about?

Here's mine:

two words: Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime is the king!

I was ALWAYS a Mustang fan.. more so a Cobra fan.. when the 2003 Cobras came out I fell in love.. I owned a 2004 regular and a 2003 Cobra. It was just ultimately too impractical for a daily driver.

But I can say I owned my dream car!

I can say the lamest car I owned was the 2004 V6 stang
The coolest was the 2003 Cobra
The rarest was the 1994 RX-7
The most "mature" was the TSX
The perfect blend of adulthood and youth has been my ILX

Wow! You guys have really had a lot of cars...between college and med school I've only had one car before the ILX. Looks like I'll have to catch on my whip game after I get a real job someday!!!

My coolest was the 1996 Geo Metro. It was green and had matching green hub caps. 51 HP @ 5,700 RPM.

I'm 26 & have had the following. Got my first car 4 months before I turned 16.

1982 Mercedes-Benz 240D Auto
1982 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Auto
1996 Saturn SL2 Auto
1997 Honda Civic EX Coupe 5MT
1996 Infiniti J30
1993 Honda Accord SE Sedan
2000 Acura TL-P

Wife has an '04 Civic LX Sedan

Hoping to exchange the TL for a new Fathom Blue ILX 6MT in the near future.

Also, short term had a Buick Century, '87 Suburban, '97 Saturn SL2 5MT, '03 Dodge Ram Crew Cab.

My grail car for at least the last 10 years has been the '54-'57 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.

Well, my father was an executive With the local distributor here in Hawaii. It made financial sense to own Toyotas, but also "political" sense. It wouldn't reflect well on him if I was driving a competitors vehicle. But, Honda hadn't really hit its stride at that point either. The Toyota Celica's and MR-2s did not have a comparable vehicle within the Honda lineup at the time. My father's retirement coincided nicely with the release of the Integra GSR, and it was the obvious choice back in 1994.

And this is why moving to an ILX hybrid was so difficult. I am 100% certain I would have gone with the hybrid if it were available with a stick. Heck, I would have gone with the 2 L engine if it were available with a stick.

Haha, nice! My parents had the full Geo line up. A red Metro for my mom and a blue Prizm Luxury sedan for my dad. I was ceded that Prizm in high school and promptly wrecked it!

Mornin' guys. Just finished moving a huge bulk of the furniture into the house...hired a couple of laborers and rented a truck to do the move. I saved about 2k doing so and only lost 1 piece of furniture -- which I think looked ugly anyway. I'll post some pics.

On an entirely different note, I was browsing the net and came across this beauty.

What do you all think? I've always loved Jags and I think this is just utterly gorgeous.

Any blemishes on the walls from the move?

IMO, the new F type jag looks like an Aston Martin knock off...

Volante all day!

I knicked a wall or two, but nothing bad. The walls are all the same color so they'll get painted eventually.

What do you all think of the 2.4 auto that's on its way for this car? I personally think Acura didn't go with the 2.4 so as to not kill tsx sales outright. It would've been smarter to can the 2013 tsx and introduce the 2.4 ilx from the getgo.

Yep! I noticed it was super nice this weekend then last night hell froze over.. this morning I came out to my car with a little white frosting on it.. Unfortunately none stuck

It's good that winter is finally here.. but then again.. cold fronts come and go. Did you guys get a good amount? Ours was a slight flurry.

Am I reading that right? 2.4 auto on the way for ILX? Now I'm not feeling so good about my purchase.

We got enough to stick and make a thin blanket over everything. I hate the cold. I'm glad it's going to warm back to the low 60's later this week.

Well.. the 2.0 will still get better gas mileage and your Auto 2.4 wont be as fast and my 6-speed 2.4

Yeah, I usually buy a few things for winter but I had a feeling there would be no point this year.. but you know how we do.. it'll be -10 in Feb.
