Put on a ton of weight, anyone want to start a week by week weight loss thread?
I'm at the highest BF% of my entire life. Just too much work and internet and absolutely no working out whatsoever. My diet has turned into 6,000 cals a day with most of them coming from candy and cookies. I've lost a great deal of muscle too.
This is as good of a time as any to start a week by week hard core weight loss. Maybe weekly pictures too? I don't want to be the only one but if others want to do a weekly update I would be up for it.
Embarassing myself with internet pictures is about the only thing that *might* motivate me right now.

6,000 cals a day I feel you though, after I quit smoking (failed) last year I put on a bunch of weight. I was 170 and after 14 months I'm 224... I quit for good and I wanna get back in shape! I dunno if I can post pics, maybe tho lol.

No need to post pics, but if you do I'm sure no one will be anything but encouraging. At least post some regular progress posts. I went from 212 in Jan. to hovering around 185 today. My problem is going to be keeping the weight off through the winter months.

Ok, Monday will be the day. The reason I was thinking of pics is I would be a lot more motivated #1 out of embarassment and #2 with others being watching and knowing I will have to post pictures every week regardless of how bad I do.

Im down to do the same. When I was in the Marines I worked out constantly. I got out in 2006 and slowly started losing all my muscle and gaining fat. I started working out about 4 months ago then had to stop 4 weeks ago due to a shoulder injury (which I still have not determined what the injury is but Im assuming its a torn rotator cuff. Ive somewhat recovered, but now the wait that I have lost has seen to come back ten fold. Im still at 190lbs at 5'10" and stayed at that weight when I went to the gym, I just lost fat and put on muscle instead...... I gotta figure something out.

Since our wedding last year my wife has lost 10lbs and I've gained 25 (I'm 190lbs now @ almost 6').
Hasn't helped that I had foot surgery 5 weeks ago, but I'm almost ready to start exercising again. My target weight will be 175 lbs by December.. Would love 165, but with football season starting and just getting a kegerator I'll really have to watch my diet

No more boxing..ever. I broke my hand again on the heavy bag in the same spot it's been broken 5-6 times before. Time to hang it up. Hopefully I can still lift heavy when it heals.
I took the before pictures tonight. Sad sad sad. I never thought I would look this way. Went out and bought a cheap recumbent bike and starting with the bowflex and some freeweights. I'll still have to go to the gym to do legs and heavy stuff but it's going to be a while until I'm healed up.
Not going to post the pictures yet, at least not until I have some progress. Stocked up on healthy food so no excuses now.
Day one is tonight 30 min on the bike and a healthy dinner so let the countdown begin.

Son of a bitch. Just looked at the pictures again. You can barely tell I've ever worked out a day in my entire life. Just a year ago I was in excellent shape.

Did you actually fracture your hand? I've dealt with dislodged bands / tendons that lie over the hand but I've never broken it, even though it sure felt like I broke it. Those type of injuries can reoccur often if it doesn't heal properly and in bad cases where it doesn't heal, surgery is required. Sad to hear regardless.
Anyways, I'm in. Currently I'm 236, 20% BF.

That doesn't count.
You have to weigh yourself the same time every day. You will almost always be lighter in the morning.
Also weight isn't the only factor, muscle weighs more than fat, and if you are working out it might not go down as fast as your muscle mass may be increasing at the same time.

No pictures for me.. but I'm committed to losing weight and cutting my BF. Seriously. Let's start today and update with results every Monday morning? Maybe update on our activities through the week and our diet. Just give us a update format and I'll follow it.

so every monday it is.
Started this morning with bran cereal. 2% milk.
930am - almonds,peanuts,cranberries for a snack.
12pm - 1 spoonful of rice with curry. had potatoes and chicken.
3pm - i'll have a granola bar.
5pm - Gym.
715pm - protein shake
815 or 915 - dinner. greens, meat, and a little rice.
Havent been kicking my ass at the gym lately. Today will be full force, which includes 20 mins of High intensity interval running. I'll hit my chest today; with bench, incline, decline. followed by some back work...rows, bent over rows, and pull downs.
i'll end it with some tricep dips.

I'm in, I had quit working out for almost a year, eating and drinking whatever (whenever) I wanted. I got up to 220; I'm only 5'10, I was a chubby bastard. I started working out again in November of last year, but did start dieting until about April this year. I'm currently down to 197, still kind of pudgey but I feel way better, and sleep way better.
I do a "boot camp" 1-2 times/week, practice/play flag football 2x/wk, and go to the gym 2-3 times per week (want to increase that to atleast a steady 3x's, but not until I get to about 190).
Boot camp has helped, but I'm hovering around 195-200lbs... caloric intake is 2200-3000/day, carbs only at lunch... why the F am I hovering @ 195-200??

226lbs as of this morning. Down 4lbs. I got a late start, had some friends come to town so I've only been on for 3 days. Most is probably water weight from eating better.
Goal- 200lbs by Acurafest '10.
Thanks Whiskers! Let's keep this going.

233.. down 3. On goal..
This past week I tried to stay on a good diet but this 3 day weekend I ate about 4 lbs of ribs, brats and burgers + sodas & brew.. I trained 4 days out of the week as usual and capped my weekend off with a few hours of beach volleyball.
Goal for next week.. 4 lbs.

Wish i could find my "start" pics from P90 (even though i have only completed the first 30 days continuous since the wife had the baby) . Started just a tick under 240 and am down (but back up) to 212. (6'5) goal is 200 unless muscle starts to pack on.
