Last Sunday and today, checked at Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart websites, and all got XB1s. But no PS4s! Crazy!

About 1 week before Christmas, went to BB(store) to exchange a black Friday PS3 bundle(Last of Us/Batman: AO) I ordered online for my son, that had the power on problem. Guys at CS told me that since it was a black Friday bundle, I was suppose to return it to Sony for a replacement. But they were nice enough to replace it for me. They only had the Last of Us bundle w/o Batman. My son said it was cool so he accepted it...his 1st PS3(have a 360) so he couldn't wait! He's 17, can't blame him, lol.

While at the store, there was a cart-load of PS4s being wheeled upstairs to the game section! Guy at CS told that tickets were being given out at 6am and 1pm for anyone wanting to buy a PS4! Can't just walk in and get one!

no, I tried returning it tonight but couldn't since a friend got it for me - I'd need the original credit card used - and I didn't feel like bugging him about that - lol

now, I recall finding out in here that Ghosts does not have next-gen graphics or something to that effect. This is FALSE! Ghosts looks way better than any of the PS3 COD games - it is CLEARLY next-gen graphics.

Quick question: With all the CES talk of 4 layer blu-ray discs coming out in the near future, will the current optics in the PS4 be able to play the new discs?

Samsung states that they will require "new" optics.

Sony generally doesn't make a point of making any effort to future-proof their products, if anything they move in the opposite direction (proprietary formats and accessories) - so no I don't personally see that being an option.

Another thing to consider, Blu-ray is considered by many to be on the way out, with streaming and cloud options becoming the standard.

In other news, I was quite displeased to find out that playing Ghosts online required a Plus membership. It conveniently tells you this right when you try choosing the online option in game. Talk about a buzzkill. Seeing how that's pretty much the only reason I bought the game, I had to do it. Oh well.

Yeah you can't play others on Live without a Gold membership. I think the free one is just to download from the store.

I wish SNE had reflected the sales like before, I was banking on that in Jan Too bad it seems like they're in a crisis mode over there.


I went from not turning the 4 on for weeks at a time to playing it almost daily now. I really enjoy it now and looking forward to some new games

i still have battlefield 4, but no console

shouldve included it when i sold my copy, it is the preorder one that comes with the 1st expansion pack

Looks like Sony learned. When Kojima made the latest Metal Gear game for PS4 and XO he stated he liked the PS4 better. Apparently more developer friendly.

I'm not sure whether this is an indication that Sony learned something or that the PS4 was just a "gotta have it" kind of thing - the latter is dictated by the consumers and the companies have little to no control over it. I think it was definitely helped by the general consensus that the PS4 is "better" than the Xbox One. I personally don't mind the news as I've always been a fan of the PS.

so I tried COD Ghosts a few times and it just doesn't have the satisfying play and feel of the past series.

The new cOD sucks IMO. I played 3 round last night and in 1 game I and 6 others died literally in the first 10 seconds. Spawn locations suck

I agree it blows I played one round also and its sat on my shelf ever since. BF4 is where it's at. Also looking forward to metal gear which I think comes out next month
