edit: What do you play and profile name, Ken1997TL?
My wife won a PS3 today!!! But its UK, she is bringing it home today. I'm researching now whether it will work in the US. Blu-ray should be region free I think....Can anyone look to see if the power brick says 110-240 on it?

I got the hang of the latter a bit more but like I said, I'm used to Mercenary and Team Deathmatch. Though I've played and done well on Cage Match and Free for All. I'll get my mike up next time too.

-No issues with power
-As long as TV is HDTV with HDMI, no issues
-All PS3 games will work
-About 15% of Blu-Ray disks are region encoded (that sucks)
-Normal DVD's and PS2 games won't work (no issue)
Look like Ill keep it...Cool, free PS3!!

thing is for those team based games... or rather objective based games... the key is knowing the spots the overlook the objective
usually the ones who get the best ratios in sabo and domo are the ones who keep track of where the bomb or flags are in each stage - you practically know where the opponent is going
ill play with you again man
Good question and I never knew why myself until I just looked it up.
The original US 20GB and 60Gb had full PS2 hardware built into the PS3 unit. That is why they have full PS2 compatibility.
When they released the 40Gb and 80Gb units, the 40Gb had no BC and the 80Gb had partial BC. I never understood why this is the case until I just looked it up.
The original 20 and 60Gb units had the PS2 CPU and GPU built into the systems, which is why they have full BC. The 80Gb units have the GPU, but no PS2 CPU built in, so they have to do emulation so they only have partial BC.
The 40Gb (and upcoming future versions) have no PS2 CPU or GPU built in, so they have NO BC.
The removal of PS2 hardware in the system, plus reduction in manufacturing costs, should reduce the price of the PS3 to the point where it becomes profitable soon. Right now, Sony takes a loss on the hardware of every system it sells.
All the info I got was from a Wiki at:

Makes sense from a business standpoint then. However, it'll still be somewhat of a PITA to have two systems for different purposes, and since it looks like BC will be wiped out completely eventually, I'll have to snag a 80gb soon.

I am currently downloading the system update version 2.42 and it is taking forrreverrr.
Any features that anyone might know about this one? I don't think it's been more than a month since the last update.

New Wireless Keypad accessory.
Its like the xbox 360 keypad accessory that you attach to your controller.

not too sure if i like the location of the keypad, seems unnatural to reach to the top of the controller, would make more sense to me to be at the bottom where your thumbs are.
