okay, it's about 12:45am, and I just got back from Foothill Ranch Walmart... I swear, there had to been at least 300-350 people... and I pisses me off... they only had 16 to sell!!! I couldn't believe it when they annouced that... anyway, needless to say, I didn't get one... They did the raffle thing... and I wasn't lucky enough... but I find this kinda suspicious.... the guy next to me in line, said he was an employee (of Walmart), and he got issued a ticket like everybody else... and he got picked... hmmmmmmmmm

...anyway, I'm gonna try Costco in the morning... they're going the raffle thing too, so to point in getting there early and losing sleep...

that is crazy...why would you buy it on ebay for like 800 dollars when you could wait a few days maybe weeks to get one for 300?

 

i hit up a target which handed out their 12 tickets at 6 am, the bestbuy down the block had a good ~200 people in line so i skipped that, and costco looked promising but they don't open until 10am and i don't care that much to miss work...


and i drove by two circuit citys in tysons that both had plenty of people in line that i wasn't going to get one even if they had the advertised 20/store

 

and compusa was sold out....

costco looked like the best shot, anyone been to toys r us yet?

 

Yes toys r us is getting a pretty low amount of xboxes. They gave out like 10 tickets. I went to k mart they dont have x box 360 out yet but i got a raincheck. I plan on going to check out sears soon.

 

initial launch

 

Played it last night! We played Madden 06, Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero. It got too late and I had to work so we called it a night before we played more titles. The system in general is pretty cool...very user friendly and a lot of the new features are really cool. Especially, the fact that you can turn the system on and off from the controller. On another note, I was not blown away graphically but the quality of HD gaming is very noticeable. I look forward to more titles being released that take full advantage of the 360's potential. Madden 06 looked great, but the game play is kind of bunk IMO. I am a die hard Madden player, so I was a little disappointed that the camera angle and some of the usual features were messed with. I enjoyed COD2 much more the PDZ but both games are very nice looking but I still was not amazed. The two new top buttons come very handy but will take some time to get used to. The controllers are pretty awesome and are very responsive. I am not great at reviews, so if you have any questions...please shoot!

Damn this is crazy. Lines everywhere up the ying yang.. i though i would go to sears since no one new they would get it on time. So i called and they say they are only getting 4. And they dont even know which versions!!! so the first 4 people in line got them. well not really got them since they are not even in. they are waiting for the truck to deliver. but i see me getting it before xmas i guess!!! anyone else had good luck>

it came with "Kameo, the Elements of Power" ( ) It's so NOT my kind of game, but I wasn't going to turn it down... They also had about 15 other games for sale... I went ahead and got Project Gotham Racing 3 which... IS my kind of game


the bundle (which came with the 20g hard drive, extra wireless controller, "Kameo" game, remote, wireless head phone, and some cables... and a device call "Play and Charge" kit-I don't know what that is...) for $479.99+tax (NOT including PGR3).

the best part of getting it from Costco? NO HASSLE RETURN POLICY!!!

I have friends from around the country who I've told would pay them a hundred bucks each to wait in line for one and sell it to me afterwards. Looks like its been paying off! I also had to wait at Walmart yesterday for 6 hours.

Ive been playin x box 360 all day my dad was luck enough to get it this morning at the wal mart down the road. I have raincheck from k mart for a preimum system hopefully the shipment comes in tommorow and i will have my own x box 360 and not have to share with my lil bro.

 

you might want to find out with KMART but i worked in retail and RAINCHECKS were for items that were on sale and we didnt have any more and it was advertised that week. So next week when you come in you will still get the SALE price.

In this case there is no SALE price, and its not even a case of an item running out.
Maybe they do other system, but just ask, incase you know..

 

Meh... the only reason to get it today is to sell it on eBay for a profit. You're crazy to keep it if anyone of you is lucky enough to get your hands on one today. Sell it and wait around a few more weeks.

 

I am flabbergasted by someone wanting this so badly that they are willing to pay $2500. And especially since the reviews are that the system is great, but the games are nothing great yet. yet.

Got mine this morning. Pre-ordering paid off. Just about to finally hook it up.

The system looks really sleek. Definitely smaller than my Xbox and only a little bigger than a PS2. Definitely very stylish. The controller is pure heaven.

The menu's are REALLY slick and I just transferred my xbox live account to my 360. Being able to download game demo's and movies for free is pretty slick.

Loving it so far!

The power supply is insane though. I've never seen anything like it. Freaking HUGE!
