Laguna is like one of my fav tracks in the world. When me and my friends really want to see what a car can do... we take it out on Laguna... it is a proving ground more than a racetrack... if that makes any sense.

You make one mistake on Laguna Seca, you're in the sand and you're dead. You just lost 5-10 seconds. Other tracks, you hit a wall but you only lose a couple seconds at most. Losing a 10+ lap race because of one mistake is very annoying, yes. I don't think it's that hard to understand...

 

I have an excellent replay saved of me doing a full 360 degree spin and catching it in the Viper race car. Not the best lap time, of course, but very fun to watch.

 

A little under 5 minutes, IIRC.
