For those doing the raids, let us know how it goes. Supposedly it's pretty epic.

If you are referring to that $500 million number, that was the total cost for spread over 10 years including advertising. When you look at it, it isn't that crazy.

I would like more out of the game, but I am still having fun with it. 8/10 from me, the same as I would give GTA5.
I also think that this game fell to the unrealistic expectations hype wagon, and reviewers are reflecting that.

As for raids, my friend did one last night and said that his party kept dying for 2 hour straight in one part and couldn't advance so they all raged quit lol.

I'll prob try it out tonight and see how badly I die.

Looks like I need to add some destiny players and level up to 26.
All 6 players must be your FRIEND. That sucks. I dont have 6 people that play destiny. lol

I actually rate GTA higher than Destiny for the fact that the world is much much larger and there are tons to do, which boosts replayability. The many different things that GTA offers is just superb in the imagination and attention to detail that was given.

But yes, I do agree with you that Destiny is enjoyable, but it's only been a little over a week and I'm not sure how many times I can keep coming back to it like I do with GTA.

They don't need to be your FRIEND, go to the tower and pick up random ppl. Make new buddies. Be social.

GTA also suffers from tons of continued broken promises, bugs, server issues, and GTAO being a beta test for the new-gen consoles. If I graded GTAO alone it would be a 5/10. GTA5's story was lackluster but the open world made it tolerable.

All I know is that I'm hooked on this game. This is precisely the kind of game I enjoy most. I loved ME3 multi-player and I'm sure one or two of you remember my Halo shenanigans, so this game is awesome!

Just hit level 21. Add me on Ps4: deferlogic. I like doing both pve and pvp.

In typical bungie fashion, multi-player is very fun. Co op is really enjoyable, and what I play most. The vanguard strike playlist so far was probably the toughest. Fighting the archon priest, with tons of melee enemies that swarm you til one of you dies.

Can't imagine what the raids are like! I can't wait.

Your party's raid progress saves for a week, so you do not have to sit down for 10 hours straight to finish it in one go.

That slightly changes things but 1606 deaths
7212
They killed average 3.5 enemies per death... THEY SUCK

Though I guess majority of times died are during the boss. Id still imagine a much higher K/D with all those kills.

Saying they suck for the death count is really jumping the gun there since you haven't even seen the level. These guys came in with 0 strategies since they are the first to complete it.

lol usdmJON, can you even complete this week's Weekly Heroic at the lowest difficulty without dying?

That is a cake walk compared to the first QUARTER of the raid.

The most important thing for raids so far is communication and strategy with a good team. If you just pick 5 random guys from the tower and barge in, you will all die so fast.

I imagine so.
Just an opinion guys. If that kd makes sense then my bad. I was just trying to think of killing only 4 bad guys per death and that seemed crazy when hords are thrown at you and you can off 5 with one nade from behind cover.

If the horde level bad guys, the lamest of the brutes like the thrawls... if they are killing these players then damn that's tough. I just imagine a majority of the deaths are during the bosses like when I hit a strike. But 1000 deaths means they died hundreds of times during one boss encounter... that or the hordes were destroying them. If it was the hordes then that would explain things but I don't image thrawls being a bother to these players. Even higher level thrawls.

Cmon man, you can't really speak technical if you haven't even seen the level, much less even be eligible for the level. You don't know where the most deaths happened. That KD was average KD. They could have owned in the beginning where there's hordes, but they could have been owned during bosses and mini bosses. If the most death occurred at the few bosses, then it's understandable where the deaths are coming from and why the low KD ratio.

You can't suck and be the first team recorded to beat the hardest level in Destiny. These guys are level 27/28. They know what they're doing.

I'm just speculating and would appreciate the higher level players to add their input.
Come on guys, just having a discussion. Yes I'm not at that level yet, so let me just be quiet and not engage in any conversation. Carry on.

With what the nade?

I have been able to take out 3 guys with a void grenade before level 13. I could imagine a higher level with some perks added to the void grenade could off 5. Me, void grenade plus a few burst from a pulse rifle will definitely drop 5 thrall from across the room.

I said this exactly. Like I said Im just making conversation if anything to get a better understanding before I head in. Im not telling these guys they suck to their face and I can own them. As well, saying they suck was more just friendly banter. Mad props for being the first no doubt. Still suck though. You all suck. Deal.

But I'm having a discussion with you as well?

I'm at level 24. Not the highest here but I know what it's like to play heroic strikes. My buddies and I died plenty of times doing Phogoth heroic strikes. Raids are not strikes, they're much much much harder.

Then if we are having a discussion dont tell me I cant talk technically.

I do apologize for sounding like I was speaking facts and hating on these guys.

That KD just seems crazy against AI. hahaha I can't wait until I get there. I have a 3rd buddy of mine picking up the game soon so so far I'm still the higher level out of my friends at level 15. Not picked the game up for maybe 3 days now.

Most of my friends are ps4 now. Couple co workers on xb1. Im on 360. So chances are these raids may be far off for me.

So while doing a PvP control match, at the end of the match it said

deferlogic found Hawkmoon

I was like, who's Hawkmoon? Turns out it's this piece of crap:

That is a shitload of deaths for the raid though. 6 people, 1606 deaths... average of 267 deaths

That says a lot about the difficulty. I still want to try it though.

No. The proof that you can complete this week's Weekly Heroic at the lowest difficulty without dying like you said.

I just realized you are at level 15 talking about level 26+ AI. HUGE difference! Also, you haven't even unlocked the Weekly Heroic

Some of my clanmates started the raid tonight. Everyone on the team is lvl 27. Currently on break before continuation. It is insane

I'm sorry I dont know what the Weekly Heroic is so I couldn't have claimed to finished it without dying... where did you get that idea??
I haven't claimed to be able to do anything and I have been very open with the level I am.

I apologize if saying they suck has offended. That just seems like a LOT of deaths to me. /opinion

I feel like the raid is going to ruin my marriage and work life. The commitment to finish the raid is too much, haha.

If you can get a group of the same 6 people to do it as a week long adventure, then it is manageable. Doing the whole thing in one sitting is definitely life ruining.

I've thought about that part long and hard because I love a good challenge. My buddies aren't high level enough to be eligible for that level so I can't get with them. Getting with random people is even harder because I have to consider their availability and time zone difference and their willingness to grind it out. Not complaining though as I love an epic challenge like Raid. It's just it's almost impossible to get 5 committed players together with the lack of communication the game offers to reach out for a team.

Any ways, have you guys tried the Destiny mobile app? It's actually very cool because it displays a lot of your stats that you can't see in the game.

Wasn't responding to the Bold. I was responding to the italic.

Again, no idea what the Weekly Heroic is. I would not claim to have or do something I dont have or can not do. Not my style.

I got a Legendary engram just now, but when I went to encrypt it or whatever it turned green. WTF. Then a had a green engram and it turned blue... but sucks. lol LAME.

Yup, got it since they released it for the beta. I use it mainly to read the news/info they put out and clan stuff.
