People have gotten better, but MANY more also douchebags.

I can't tell you how many games I got into, ranked and social, where people quit early, go around betraying people left and right, betray someone from the start of the game because they didn't get the vehicle or weapon they wanted, and the best, the guys that are always trying to derank so they can waste time newb bashing.

Fixes

1) don't allow quitting. PERIOD. And if that is too difficult to implement, making quitting a more sever penalty than simply -2 experience points. Why not -5% experience points.
2) if you betray someone, especially when it's so damn obvious where there is no enemy anywhere near you, the option to boot them should be automatically enabled, not after 2 betrayals.
3) no matter how good you become, you can't derank. PERIOD.

Oh and another idea, team voting.

if there's a guy that's dicking around on the team, purposely dying, or shootting your teammates, but not killing them, implement a system like EA did on Battlefield where you can vote to have someone booted.

This is such a great game that Bungie is letting go down the tubes with their lack of attention to these obvious problems.

 

Man I havent played halo in almost a year, I remember me and a couple of friends and my brother were up until 4am(halo 2 days)but since I got halo 3 its been meh

I've found the Team Swat playlist to contain the most number of really good, and nice players compared to all the other playlists.

That's the playlist I've been playing for the last couple months because of how bad it's gotten in the other playlists.

 

I have to agree. Lots of douchebaggery, to the point where I have communications on mute.

I do my best to complain nowadays....like "avoid this player" or file a complaint, but I have no idea what gets done with that information.

 

I thought the "avoid this player" thing would work, but come to find out that it has it's problems. There have been a few times already where I've gone to submit a player review only to find out that I had already set them to be avoided! And the fact that I felt the same way the 2nd time only validated why I set them to be avoided the first time.

Many times I've gone as far as filing a complaint it's been so bad. but it really does nothing. The whole system is just fuxored.

 

Team doubles isn't to bad, you just have to find yourself someone who is around your level to play with, then you're good to go.

 

My only complaint is how people whine about how I was too good with the sniper, someone literally yelled at me from the opposing team saying, "Oh look at you with the sniper you pussy, use something else instead of sniping us." I was slightly angry for obvious reasons and amused at the same time.

 

I'm in favor of this, in a team game of 4 or more people they should be able to vote a person off the team.

havent played in the longest time... but there were a few funny cases of conversation before the game started.

1. i was waiting for the game to start and i was teamed up with my cousins in a social match. some guy on the other end started talking mad shit to us. no one said anything except me. i said "wtf did u say asshole?" in a hoarse voice (i had flem in my throat). he responded by saying "HOLY SHIT! BATMAN IS PLAYING US!"... game started after that i hummed the batman theme song the remainder of the game. its funny hearing a theme song before u see the person!

2. my cousin immitated a little kids voice... the guys on the other team said "Ahhh shit... another fuckin 6 yr old" . my cousin yelled back at them with his normal voice.... they stood quiet! LOL

I'm still trying to figure out why so many people hate 'Team Rockets' so much.
It hardly ever comes up in matchmaking (for me at least), and I think it's fun to have rockets blowing up everywhere.

I just started playing Halo again after over a year of not really touching it (thanks to CoD4) Damn my friends and their Halo nights.

anyway I was playing Tug of War and some retard on my team says right before the countdown: "hope red team doesn't suck!".... which happens to be my team. meanwhile in my head I'm thinking great, this guy is gonna blow balls. Lo and behold, once the game starts this guy starts dipping into the negatives. He's the player with the worst ratio on our team when he says "man this team sucks ass!" then he quits. Granted, one guy on the team finished -9 and another went -5 and I was the only one who went positive (barely, +1) but he was a dumbass hypocrite.

I noticed though that the Team Slayer (ranked) maps are much different along with the weapon locations. People in that game mode are also a lot more skilled, especially since I left off a year ago with my rank at 39.
