Yes, i picked mine up an hour ago at my local mom and pop cell phone/video game store. I'm gonna rock out tonight.

 

Damn, I just realized the Hereos Premiere is tonight and 9pm is when GameStop said to come by and take care of paying for the game.

I should invest in a DVR though.

 

You might want to go out and get one of them really nifty microwave ovens, and one of them really neato telephones without cords, and one of them really cool 8 track tape decks.

Actually when it comes to technology, I'm very very very picky. Hence why I don't own a DVR, or even a MP3 player. about 9 out of 10 times i'm not an early adopter of anything new and I usually wait for technology to move ahead first and refine a product/tech before I jump on board.

 

So is or going to create/manage the "AcuraZine" clan like last time.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I've been away.

IMO it totally lives up to the hype. The SP is very similar to the Halo 1 campaign (which is a good thing) with more of everything - more enemies, more vehicles, more weapons, more AI friends fighting with you, better enemy AI.

The beginning levels are good, but later in the game it really shines. I won't give anything away, but it has some of the best gaming experiences I've had in years. If you liked Halo 1, you will love this game.

I haven't played much MP yet, but I messed around with Forge which is essentially a really intuitive map customization tool and saved films are awesome. At one point, I must have spend an hour replaying the levels I beat in the game. It has 11 MP maps which are made up of a nice mix of sizes.

Graphically, it isn't mind blowing, but it looks nice and clean and the game really shines in the large outdoor levels with the huge draw distances. The framerate is pretty much rock solid which is also nice.

Basically, if you ever enjoyed Halo games, get this game. It's got the best of Halo 1 (SP) and Halo 2 (MP) with a ton of new features.

 

Don't worry I don't have cable or DVR. Just wait one hour till something comes out then I download it online, quicker, and always great quality.

 

I can't wait Ill show up at 11ish. I showed up at 9ish but the stupid mall was closed so I couldn't pay off the full balance. Oh tho I'm going to the gamestop across from del state. I hope I don't get shot lo.

 

I went by the gamestop during my lunch break and paid it off so my brother-in-law and I wouldn't have to worry about paying for it tonight.

 

I did a drive by and there is a line around the corner. I am gonna set my alarm to 2 am and go pick it up then go back to sleep and play it later.

 

been playing it since I got home from work and I haven't eaten, taken a shit, or acknoledged the existence of my wife and child. Yeah, its that damn good.

so my brother in law and I just showed up at the gamestop and there are about 40 people in line already. we are just gonna hang out and see what happens.

Playing it now and its great! you can save your game videos so if you own someone you can save it and watch it later. Game is a bit slower though and they made the pistol EXTRA SLOW! Plus there are some game control changes like reload is a different button. Game is hot!

Looks like a tight game though... tempting to get the counsel just for that game just to see what all the hypes about...

 

Great Game...I played the past 2 games but never really beat it so i'm not very familiar with the story. However, after reading some backround on it online and now finally playing it, it really is an AWESOME game. Multiplayer is dope and so is Campaign. BUT...I feel BIOSHOCK will be the game of the year...now that game is F'in DOPE.

Bad news buddy I would open it and take it out if I were you. When i picked mine up they were saying the LE metal cases are scratching the discs.

Seems like Gamestop is fucking people again with pre-releases. A couple of buddies that paid in full for the game way back in february got the shaft when they went in this morning to pick up the game. The gamestop guy was like, sorry. Then the gamestop employee tried to sell em the SE or LE versions, and my buddies got pissed. I personally hate gamestop and the know-it-all dicks that work there. Last time i went in there and this goof tried to sell me the final fantasy movie. After i told him i saw it, he said so buy it so you can watch it again and again. I told him it was ok i wasnt a loser that needed to see the final fantasy movie more than once. All the employees looked at my with the GTFO stare.
