I have yet to see any clans. But so far Halo 3 online :thumbsup

they don't have clans, but they do have "parties"

basically everyone has to add each other as a friend. i guess we can all do this by getting gamertags off the group on bungie.net

why is everyone beating this game in exactly 6 hours. Why not 7 or 5 ?

 

I'm not blown away by the single player, the music in the background is annoying as hell....but multiplayer...wow! amazing!

I'm sort of the other way around. I think the campaign is epic! Multiplayer is definitely more polished but its not so different from H2 that I want to spend hours playing it. Although, I do love walking around a map with a turret and laying waste. Not to mention, I want dual Needlers!

 

How many people and servers are you seeing in multiplayer games? I only get 4people games which sucks!

Yeah I beat the game in about 6 hours too.

 

Other way around for me. Loving the single player! I figured that it was gonna be good but this is off the chain! Definately loving it!

 

I won't have my router till this Saturday. Next Friday night, 4 player online co-op. Us against Brutes/Floods. Who's game?

 

Yeah I was getting 4 people when I was in "Boot Camp" mode, but I moved to social games and now I get from 5-8. But the games are almost never full...I guess its cause I picked best connection over fastest game.

 

 

Once I move I'll have to get Halo 3 and join in on the fun

Friday night, I am out, partying, having a life

 

I started playing the campaign last night on legendary. It's friggin' hard!

Before that I had only played 2 levels on Co-Op. I still need to get used to the 360 controller too, not used to the bumper buttons yet.

 

i feel naked playing this game without Cover System like you have on Gears of War...still a pretty cool game though.

 

That's why everyone should join the AcuraZine Bungie Group I made. At least that way we'll have a better idea of who's from AZ when we see them on our buddie list and need a place to look up their gamertag.

Yeah, I keep hitting the bumpers instead of the triggers for some reason. But I like the individual reload option, I'm not stuck empty handed in the middle of gunfights anymore!

 

^^^ I forget about the bumpers sometimes.

And there are so many things to do now,

like switching between 3 grenades instead of 2, using the equipment (still not used to the symbols for all the equipment there is).

Has anyone noticed that you can jump a lot higher and it's more lofty and slow or is it just me?

 

For all the people who beat it in 6 hours on normal:

you should really try Heroic. Its pretty hard!

Does anyone know if you can shift difficult levles mid-campaign? Do you just have to start the level over, or do you have to start the entire game over?

 

^^^ I think after you have successfully made it to a level, you can go back and replay that level or any level below that at any difficulty just like in previous Halo versions.

 

One thing i never really liked about the halo games was the flood. The flood to me is annoying, they are not challenging, they are just large in numbers when they attack. I'm just saying.

 

Yeah, it's hard to figure out which deployable items to use and use them effectively. The flash bang (where it white's out the screen) and the one that confuses the radar are useful, but I have no idea what they look like. The others, like the shields, don't really come in handy in matchmaking.

And yeah, I noticed that you can jump a lot higher and further than before. I noticed you can also really run fast now too, especially in some of the skirmish games, like ninjaball.

 

I think I'm going to continue playing the campaign on Legendary for my first time around.

The challenge is much higher because you don't know what to expect at all.

 

Dammit thats it! I'm going out to grab my copy and a 360! I need $$$ though grrrr. Bills are kicking my @rse

 

maybe we should get a halo 3 gamer tag "party" list here just so we don't have to look through the big gamer tag thread to see who plays Halo 3.

Favorite line from the game thus far:

I forgot the name of the level but it's this one where they dropped off a bunch of tanks for you, and you're simply roaming around in this desert shooting at brutes, hunters and wraths whatever.

First, you take out the Brutes using the tanks, and one of the soldiers onboard would say

"Wow, Tank beats Brutes!"

Then, you are required to take out the Hunters using the tanks......

"Wow Tank beats Hunters!"

Then, lastly, you come across these Wraths and after you take those out the soldier goes...


"WOW! Tank beats EVERYTHING!! Heyyy I can do this all day...HAHA"

 

Starting the thread here would be redundant only because if we all join the AcuraZine Bungie group it serves the same purpose and is updated as people play the game, change gamertags (i think) and so on and so forth.

That's why i want people to join up over there instead.

anyone say anything bad about Halo 3?

One of my coworkers is a big Gears of War fanboy and hates Halo 3. He says its boring, I think its just cause he can't duck and cover to say his ass (he keeps dying).
