I didn't drive the dragon till the day after having all of those beers. I did drive up to the cabin we stayed at but the dragon and the other surrounding roads we drove were the following day.

I love me some craft brews. What is worst most of my favorite beers are 8-12%.

I feel you, man...if I ever made the drive, it'll be in the S2000 and not the Wagon either.
Wow, loved this.
Thanks. You should make a trip up with us in the S2000. You and the wife should come up. I bet you would love it.

PS - is that your old ISF?
Yes that is my old ISF. My buddy I sold it too came down from Pittsburgh in it to hit the dragon.

Can't watch this at work. I will have to check it out tonight or on my phone maybe.

It might have been the fact that I only had the Vagon a month before I took it to the dragon last year. I have been driving my TSX since 2003. I just overall feel much more comfortable handling it at the limits of it than I do any other car. Just that feel you get over time you just can't replace.

You do have me though my V is probably way too babied. You want to come to NC and show me how to take care of her.

I keep thinking, I kinda wouldn't mind not shifting and moving my left leg all the time.

Acceptance! I love my V!!!!
This has been the most involved driving on the TSX since I did the manual swap and by far the most fun. It took me a while to realize that the thing loved being at higher RPMs constantly and ended up keeping it in a lower gear a lot of times. It was definitely cool how much more engaged changing gears seemed to make me for sure.

My favorite road up there isn't even the dragon. It is actually a road you take to get to the dragon called hellbender. I did one run on that giving it flat out. I have an 8min video from my gopro of that I need to get edited. I haven't even watched it yet.

Man I was really surprised I got my girlfriend to go on it this year. She normally gets car sick from cars I have had lately. For some reason though regardless of the road the TSX has never made her sick. She hates roads with water along the side which hellbender has for about 50% of and she hated that part. Especially when I was pushing hard enough to even cause the TSX to slide a little in the corners.

I would definitely be down for that if you want to come up. We are already looking to book a cabin for the first weekend in November again. Maybe we can get the Penguin to go too.

You guys watch this ish.. creepy AF. Even though he was just about 50 yards from the road, there wasn't much left to indicate they were down there.
I think someone was taking a piss and heard / saw him.

They found him 2 days later.. his buddy was DOA.

Kevin Diepenbrock, 41, originally from Greenville, Texas, says his final goodbyes to his family after he and another motorcyclist crashed on a stretch of U.S. Highway 129 known as "The Dragon" on Oct. 15, 2016, and tumbled down a rocky embankment. Diepenbrock, who suffered two punctured lungs, 17 breaks in 12 ribs, and multiple spinal fractures, was found more than 24 hours after the crash. The other motorcyclist, Phillip Polito, 29, of Perryville, Mo., died. (Video courtesy of Kevin Diepenbrock)

There is no cell service at all up there pretty much. There are select few areas you can go and get service at like the highest point on the dragon but that is pretty much it. Most of that area and the resort area we stayed had no reception at all except places that had companies come put in repeaters like in the lodge lobby itself.

The dragon is a lot more dangerous for motorcyles than it is for cars. Don't get me wrong there is a little more danger than a normal road if you go and try and be a super hot shot but that is some of what makes it cool. Know your limit. Its beatufiul scenery and there are rarely gaurdrails to ruin it.

Come on don't bail out on a dragon trip. They are great. To be honest most of the roads around the area are better than the dragon. You go to the dragon and do it once or twice during the trip but driving the rest of the roads in the area is the real treat in my opinion. The dragon itself most of the time gets to clogged up and you can't get any good flow. In our two different down and back runs on the dragon there was only 1 time I was the lead car and I got to have a clean run at for about a 10min stretch. Other than that I was always behind someone having to go whatever speed they go at.

But yes we can go to breweries too

No no no. Breweries the day before the dragon.

Breweries Friday on the way up to enjoy beer and stock up for Friday and Saturday night. Party Friday night. Drive Saturday all day for like 5-7hrs. Party Saturday night. Drive a couple runs Sunday and then head home. Maybe stop at breweries on the way home to stock up for home.

Why do you say that though? The dragon and the surrounding roads are not about speed and that is why I love it so much. It is first and foremost about handling.

Jason, my humor is based loosely on satire.
I know that the S2000 would probably smoke the V overall on the draggin (deez nuts over your face)..
