Tundra 86'd for an 86 which was 86'd for a Sequoia
I'm sure they do. FedEx has air facilities everywhere. Sometimes they just put crap on normal commercial flights to quickly get things to random locations. No way they are doing a two hour drive for next day air deliveries.

They acknowledged receipt and that the paperwork was all in order. I asked when they would ship and NOW they are "looking" for a shipper. WTF?
I spoke to a manager about the fact waiting all week before finding the shipper is ridiculous, he said he would look into it and call back. That was 2:45 PST, still "waiting"
I really hate this shit.

Not sure what lessons are here. I know I'm impatient, I know I fucked up buying the 86, I know I need fewer mods this time.
The only real revelation is something I could have predicted, I don't like waiting for a car, I am glad I held out for 99.9% of what I wanted, but the waiting sucks.
Someone told me dude, they are a dealer not Amazon. Sure, but I have never bought a 25k item from Amazon nor have I ever paid 1k for shipping to Amazon.
Hopefully they ship today.

When I bought my red truck and paid to have it shipped... they got it set up and on the transit truck in about a week. Then something like 3 or 4 days to go from Boulder CO to Houston TX.
It is not an impatient man's game.

There's the lesson!
lol
I want it now now now.
I understand people in hell want ice water and I'll get it when I get it. I don't have to like it.
I will try not to do this again, that's for sure.

That was the lesson I was alluding to.
I try and teach my daughter and stepson this all the time...
they want everything right this second. Sometimes I purposely wait until they quit complaining before
giving them what they want. Or I'll pause a show they are into to ask a question and take my sweet time
unpausing until they drop the attitude and answer politely.
Can't have the whole world running around like @e30cabrio

The problem isn't where is it, it's why isn't it here!
lol
It's on a car lot in Corpus Christi, Tx.
The funny thing is since it has sold (another oddity, I have never sold anything and kept it) I have been enjoying the 86 more.
Weird.

The wife already knows you're getting a new truck right?
1. Go buy the Red one.
2. Look it's here!
3.
4. The gray one shows up
5. Something, something, red one goes away.
6. Wife gets back
7. "I don't know what you're talking about, it's always been gray... Did you get too much sun in Mexico?
8. Profit.

I put the PTuning flex kit (and a bunch of other parts) up on FT86, the FF kit is backordered so I asked for 50 less than new cause you can't go up. Someone posts you want full retail or will you negotiate.
I responded within a few minutes it's 50 under & you can't go up, do you have an offer? crickets, been hours.

Not giving up. If I go it will be tonight.
Waiting for a call this morning finding out if it will ship today.
Someone has to be here for the dogs and it's quoted as a 15 hour drive so If I get there at 10pm local time, sleep get the truck at 9am Saturday, Home by noon Sunday. I need to see when the flight to Mexico is, because I'm fucked if it's before 3pm.

It's the adventure and getting to know the truck that's fun.
Have you done a video walk around on the thing? PPI?
Are you confident it's not a turd like dealerships like to sell
site on scene?
If so it's not even the money savings...it's the FUN of doing.
Take the dog...it's a service dog. Have it lick peanut butter
off your nuts in the aisle seat while the stewardess watches
in horror!

PPI will be done during the 5 day return period.
There are dogs plural & I have no response to the PB & nuts reference.

2 dogs = 2 dogs.
If you have nothing to say, you are really enjoying that.
Probably used crunchy peanut butter to slow them down
you sly wise man.
Anyway, go get your damn truck!

Salesman said he gets in at 8:30 his time (2:5 hours ago) would get right on the shipping info/tell me if I need to fly there shortly thereafter. Nada.
GAAAAAAAAA

I know you're impatient, but you mentioned that if it's shipped it's going straight to your mechanic for a once over.
If you go pick it up, are you having a local Toyota dealer inspect it or are you just getting on the road? What happens if you get home and something comes up in the inspection? Or during the drive? Will the selling dealer still take it back without hitting you with a prorated refund? Will they take it back at all?
Lots of questions, but it seems like this portion of the deal is being rushed for no reason other than you're not wanting to wait a few extra days - but the financial risk isn't worth it IMO.

My going there window is dead.
I have no one to watch the dogs for at a minimum 40 hours. At this point this has less to do with impatience and more to do with the principle that you don't blow off a customer repeatedly, no?
I called their "concierge" line Monday, was told I would get a call within 24-48 hours, still nada. The customer support choice is 9, last. That speaks volumes.
I remembered there was a company directory choice and tried the names on this list:
Also, I hate being ignored.
I would rather being told to fuck off than be ignored.

It's a Toyota not a Ferrari. Just wait.
