Very. Just remove a couple of covers near the headlight housing and you're in. Helps to have small hands, though.
By way of contrast, changing the AEs on my M5 required pulling the headlight housing out a number of inches from the body of the car.
That's not what the badges on your car say.

Packages have begun to arrive.
First, the painted reflectors from Jesal and IND (HUGE thanks again to Jesal; note the top notch packing in LOTS of bubble wrap and a micro-fiber towel. Very nicely done.):
Next, all but one of the items I just ordered this week. Black kidney grilles (gloss this time, instead of matte like I had on the M5), and new pedals:
Still awaiting the arrival of a replica M3 lip spoiler for the trunk (color matched). Should be here by Tuesday; will look like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230833697806...S:3160&vxp=mtr
One of our dogs (Rocky) saw me taking pictures and posed for a little attention:
