really hope that tag holder is ridged mounted. Having that flap around on the paint sounds like a horrible thing.

Temporary since you can see the sticker in the front but yeah, especially that paint

I was just htinking about the floppy temp tag holders some dealers around here use, instead of actually mounting their dealer tag. They flop around in the wind/turbulence behind the car.

A few from our July 4 parade/show yesterday.
The brakes on that RS7 were massive
The 57 BelAir was an 8x ITB LS3
Love me some 1G Novas, this one's a 62 SS
There were a few others there that were too crowded to get a photo. Really nice purple Road Runner with a modern Hemi in it next to a newer ProCharged Challenger
Probably could've wheeled the Midge over & won best import Other than the RS7, everything was domestic.

Greetings from Berlin! I’m in the middle of a pilgrimage type of auto fan’s trip, hitting a bunch of things that have been bucket list for pretty much as long as I can remember. I did NOT get to see Porsche, MB, and BMW museums, though. Did not have enough time. Weird thing the main reason I’m here is I’m seeing both Depeche Mode shows in Berlin, first one was yesterday and the next one is tomorrow. But I figured I would weave these other things into the trip as well, as best as I can. So I flew in to Rome a few days ago, and got a rental (it’s just a Skoda diesel SUV, makes sense it’s nice it gets 850km to the tank, and I will be driving over 3000km). So drove up through Italy and in through to Germany.
here’s some stuff from so far -
Incredible to see in person

Nice color on the Rivian, the ground clearance, from a distance, is massive.

So I’ve been in Vegas since Saturday.
Did the exotics racing and took a 718 Cayman GT4 around their track. Ragret not taking the 992 GT3 for a couple laps but it is what it is.

Oh yeah, what if I told you the Cayman gt4 is just as fast as the gt3 and many say it’s more fun to drive ….

@Mizouse out of those pics which cars did you get to drive? Only the gt4? You didn’t get to sample some other stuff?
I was just being clever above, for the normal folk performance of gt3 or gt4 is close to as makes no difference. I never drove a gt4, but from a short ride in the passenger seat at Autocross it seemed to want to kick the tail out on corner exit more than the gt3 does.
as far as straight line performance, friend of mine has a gt4 and I followed him on a ramp (both cars are manual) and the gt3 was gaining but not a huge amount. To be fair it was pretty hard to sync up our acceleration so test wasn’t very scientific. I don’t know how different the gearing is between the 2 cars but the gt3 has annoyingly long gears.

Only the GT4, i could've drove any of the other cars if i was willing to pay for it
Also for what its worth, i was told for tracks straightaway, the GT4 would hit at best around 120 and any of the other cars would get 140+
For track records the 992 GT3 was 53.1 seconds and the GT4 was 54.7
Yea, ive heard the same due to the mid engine layout. Some say it handles like the Miata. I have no idea tho.
anyways, all i know is that i really want one. Cant quite afford a GT4, nor a GT3, but i'd love to pick up a 718 Cayman T or possibly the older 2.5L 718 GTS.

Ok, guess you shoulda got the GT3.

My only GT3 experience was a ridealong in a 997 GT3 on slicks at an autocross. Car gave no slip at all, comical how hard it pulled through every turn.
Me, I think I'd have the GT4, but I'm a fan of the Cayman.

Yeah the RS is a whole new level of crazy, especially in the 992 gt3 generation.
I only saw one in the flesh, so had to join in for group pic!

First time seeing the GT3RS in person - was just 3 days ago - at the Nurburgring! Driving by as I was leaving the pull off area to take photos.
Completely incredible!!!

To me, another part of the financial math for these types of cars is the value retention. Granted this is fairly speculative although some bets are safer than others.

I've seen GT3 RS's but never at the Ring

How are prices of the cayman GTS? It has the 4.0 of the gt4 (Not gt3) and I though the main difference is that it doesn’t have the adjustable suspension.

That would be right off the SS12 in Maranello, the road between Modena and Lucca. Nice and twisty for the most part of it. I drove right by it in 2006 while on my way to Livorno to catch a ferry to Corsica for some great motorcycling roads. I did make it to the BMW museum this year for their 100th anniversary of their motorcycle, twenty-five years after their 75th anniversary.

I think the WS6 is fake guys, he’s not in the left turn lane to go to the gas station…
