A 1970 Porsche 911T in Steve McQueen Grey next to my 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS...45 years apart.
Another shot of the 1970 Porsche 911T and a few more at the weekly Porsche tire kicking session. Other cars also attend: Audi, BMW, McLaren...

MD State Police Car collection
One of the my wife's colleague's brother passed away and he as a career Maryland State Policeman, whom do it in style with funerals. Not only were there many current and former officers at the funeral, one retired officer (blue shirt) has a small collection of 10/10 condition cars they used to drive. He bought them at auctions and restored them to incredible condition.

I have a question for the collective here; my son is the sales manager for a boutique reseller of "interesting" cars (think, anywhere from a 1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, to a showroom condition 1970 4-4-2 Convertible with the W-30 package, and on to a brand spankin' new 2023 Ferrari 812 GTS); tomorrow he is getting in an all original "numbers matching" mid-1950s Porsche 356 Cabriolet (I won't know the year until tomorrow, so it could either be a "Pre-A" or a 356 A); he is promising to send the beauty shots they'll be using to market the car once they get it on the floor. Given I won't be the person who actually took the shots, am I precluded from posting them here?

Wow, that black moby dick whale tail! That was one of my first 3 toys that I got after we got out of the eastern block. First toys were: Green Porsche moby dick, Polizei G-Wagon and some generic motocross.
I would love to see one of those in person, just in pictures it was a childhood memory flashbang. Thanks for sharing!
edit: those cars are impressive, but I’m also super impressed with the trailer the cup car is coming out of.

That original Interscope 935 Kremer K3 is very impressive, probably worth in the low 7 figure range

When you exit the Nurburgring, this is the area you drive into - a parking lot area with restaurant - nice meeting place - it's kind of like an all-day car show going on, with people gathered and checking their cars (and bikes) and such.... Here are some snaps I have some more to come soon - the pix I posted of the Purple GT4RS earlier were from here as well -

my first non-Matchbox/Hot Wheels car was a 1/24 scale silver metallic 1970's 911 Coupe with the ducktail spoiler and Fuchs wheels! My dad bought it for me when he was out of town for a work conference!

Germany is also what I call "car guy" mecca for so many reasons having been there annually for my motorcycle tours in the Alps since 1995.
- Drivers are far more disciplined on roads and the autobahn.
- Attitude behind the wheel is ultra ultra rare. Maybe they eat less red meat.
- Vehicles are in top shape with serious inspections every two years which I have witnessed.
- And of course, great automotive museums.

Back when I picked up my 5-Series via European Delivery, my wife and I were tooling along on the Autobahn at about 130 mph while arcing around a long gradual curve where there was a sheer cliff to our right. Given the cliff I only had maybe a half mile of visibility in front of me when I noticed a motorcycle (the kind with a very forward leaning rider) following a Citroën 2CV doing about 50 mph; I was in the left lane (of 2) quickly overtaking them when suddenly the bike pulled out in front of me. I instantly dropped anchor and hit the horn; fortunately I had ordered my car with the Sport Package, which included wider/stickier summer rubber, as my front bumper was less than one foot behind the rear wheel of the motorcycle before our speeds equalized and he then pulled away. He only went a few hundred yards past the Citroën before he pulled first to the right lane, then the shoulder, and then off onto the small verge of grass between the paved surface and the cliff, dismounted, and literally dropped the bike on its side; I just kept going figuring he was going to take a while to clean out his pants.
