Petersen, Barrett Jackson, Concours in the Hills...

The beauty about living and working in the US aka being American and not being taxed to death equates to more disposable income for nice cars. Same goes for yachts, aircraft or what have you.

I have so many friends that moved stateside and said good-bye to the dictatorship up here.

Oh trust me. It's taxed....heavily. Lol! Depending on where you are. They have taxes for everything. You get taxed on pay. You get taxed on what you spend. Then you get taxed on your property every year. Car taxes. Land tax. They have taxes for everything. It's not all roses down here. Oh! Then you have to pay to get your taxes done. The people you see in those photos with those really nice cars? They're most likely retired and have 6 figures sitting in the bank. Or they're making 6 figures(200k+/yr) and have extra money after taxes.

where do you live Tech? The land of moose and maple syrup (Canada)? For some reason I thought you lived in the mid west.
Every situation is different and unique, but my family started in Eastern Europe, then Canada, and finally USA. There definitely are taxes here, but you have a lot more opportunity for higher income.
Also, based on the pictures ttribe posted, I suspect those guys have more than 6 figures worth of padding. Or maybe that’s just me, and I like to assume that everyone is well off and living a happy life.

Of course there are taxes, but they are far lower in the US, both Federal and State.

There is a reason why I shop or order a lot of products in the US. Even with the high exchange rate, I am way ahead. Living in the US, your buying power is far higher.

And as a tech I never made 6 figures and that would be a whole lot less in the US$. What I have is a passion for cars and motorcycles and I am disciplined when it comes to money aka there must be some Scottish in me. LOL

PM me and lets not go off on a tangent in this thread.

Definitely not my color. And purists like them stock other than suspension and brake changes.

Always a fan of these. Not just because of the look. But it's because it's one guy who comes out and personally does the work. No wonder it cost as much as it does.

Yup, PM received and responded
yeah, this is definitely not a purist car. I think the color works because the car is already so flashy, you gotta go with an odd color.

yeah, I agree, I like that part of it as well. Although, I’m not sure I could let someone take a saws-all to my 911. Maybe if the panels were rusted out or beat up…

I find the RWB stuff neat, but can't say I'd put my $$ into one. Would probably go original or Singer.

I think RWB is cool but it's not something I'd ever want to actually own myself...even if I had the money to do so.

Now a Singer Porsche... If I ever came into the financial means to buy an incredibly expensive car, a Singer would be the first one on my list.

Guntherwerks is also up there for me.

yeah. True, lots of boutique Porsche out there.
‘I personally like a lot some of the Lancia Straros or the Delta Integrale…

I don't like anything too "flashy". I guess that is why I passed on a Macan and bought a more common car like an Acura RDX, plus it was way cheaper and probably more reliable long term. Just did not want a Porsche as an everyday car.

And when in my 911, I am on a back road with no audience. Unlike that "hey, look at me" driver who was in the latest Lambo on the Gold Coast in Oz driving his car in bumper to bumper traffic doing a 180 at each end going back and forth so that he can look soooo cool. I just scratched my head. These are people that need validation.

Regular 1967 Mustang with Shelby GT350 trim stripes.
The 67-68 fastbacks were slightly larger than the 64-66 fastbacks, which had a roof slope that flattened out where it met the front of the trunk lid.
The Bullitt Mustang was a 1968 Mustang GT fastback, FWIW..

Thought that seemed odd, I'd never seen a 67 GT350, just 65-66.
67 is always easy from the rear with the curved taillights.

Went to a car meet, here are some pics!

above is my friend’s M2.

I shared a pic of this Alpina before, but I saw it again and couldn’t resist not taking a pic again.

Sam, that’s your twin right?

Blue RS

I really like the Aventador, the STO is faster, but I’ll that this thing over it anyway.

cutest car there! Good ole 500.

And finally, the big boy, parked in the dirt lot! LOL, it was the most expensive car there as far as I saw.

And being the dumbass that I am, I didn’t take pictures of my car…

Yup, that's basically the same. Looks like it has some mods under the hood and mine is stock but that's basically what mine looks like!

Mine also has color matched door handles, not sure why those are black...

Completely agree on the door handles. I have seen some Porsches with that option too, I don’t get it. I used to see a 2011 Honda Odyssey LX pretty often (that trim had black door handles) and I always saw it as a middle finger from Honda to the people that buy that trim.

It's not an option though haha. Mustangs are nothing like Porsches in that customization is minimal from the factory. You have to DIY all of that after delivery. Either that car was in a crash and poorly repaired or someone went out of their way to swap/vinyl wrap the door handles.

Edit: Those headlights are also not stock so who knows what's going on with that car.

G63 parked next to our rental X5.

E63 S Wagon just before spotting the G63 posted above.

Also, regarding the red 812, that looks like a superfast, not a GTS.
Also, as much as I love the G wagon, and I am determined to have one one day (Might be 1/18 scale…) the mat orange wouldn’t be my choice.

I am on my lunch break, yes lunch at 8pm lol. On my way to subway I came across a beast I was not expecting to see on a Monday night in this part of town.

As I rolled up to where it was standing I thought am I really seeing this. Second thought came very quickly. Too bad I don't have a second to snap a pic.

Haha I thought as it is just standing there and my phone is on the center console. Yeah, I have that second.

My next thought was am I gonna spook it? As I came to a stop next to where it was standing I rolled my window down and asked if it minded if I snapped a pic. It did not reply but it also did not run away or attack. I took that as a response of go ahead.

After snapping the pic I speed away in case it got spooked by the camera. Lucky for me, it did not give chase.

Sorry for the poor quality of this pic. As I stated I was trying to stay alive and had to act fast.

On my way back to work I found what brought the beast out.

Recent photo session I did with a friend of mine who sold his Aston Martin and got a Lamborghini Huracan. LOVE the color. Doing a full YouTube video on it soon.

Lol! Sadly, no. I doubt I'll ever be able to drive it. I wouldn't trust myself with it. Hahaha!
