I CF vinyl wrapped my emblems today. My fingers hurt. But now my back is gonna hurt. Cus I just pulled landscaping duty. Just like that old lady in Happy Gilmore.

Unsure if I love it or not.

I did a plastic honeycomb setup in place of the OEM bumper vent things. I know you said one of yours was missing. The pic above will give you an idea for an alternative.

Lol. Those are chrome badges with a black surround.

I have a black car. It had chrome badges.

If I got chrome badges with a black surround.....

See where I'm going? I'm smart AF about badges. I think I'll nickname myself "The Badger"

That would be fantastic! Did you remove the front bumper to access the back of the vents? How did you secure it?

Yeah. Maybe I'll paint them black and use black vinyl to protect the front one.

Or just go on living my life.

Removed bumper. Used a dremel to carefully cut OEM vents. Used the dremel to smooth out edges. Secured the new grill with zip ties

Are any of you mofos audio people? I have an audio question about my 06 TSX Tech.

I want to post in the audio forum. But you are already all my friends. And I'm afraid everyone else will beat me up unmerciful for looking like a mixture of Trevor from Trailer park Boys and Kip Dynamite.

**if both those people had a tan.

O'snap. Alright.

I have a 06 tech. I like the way it sounds...but I also think I could install some better speakers in there. I get some distortion at higher volume levels with bassy songs. I'm kind of a basstard.

I don't really wanna install an amp and a sub. But I think I have some laying around if it came to it.

Is there a set of speakers I could install, sans amp, in order to make this shit put out more sound without distorting?

Looking for an upgrade that doesn't require a lot of work. My wiring and custom work is is #1. But I have too many projects...and I am also FROM the projects.

Lmk.

The sound you're hearing as distorted is not a result of the speakers, it's the amp that can't put out that much power. Replacing the speakers will give you some more clarity in the sound and better frequency range but not more volume which is entirely a function of the amp.

if the tsx is anything like the tl...and you dont' want to go balls to the wall on upgrading...leave it alone...if all you want is to be able to dial back the bass in your mids/highs to not distort(illera). Then do yourself a flavor and just get a little 10" action in there and swap it for the oem amp. That should do it...

The amount of money I threw at a dumb problem...wanting to be able to hear music really loudly with the windows down going 80 on the highway.

^Good price on that valve cover.

And thanks for all the audio advice, gents.

So if I really wanted it to sound nice, I'd have to add an amp and speakers? I'm sure I can install a spare tire mounted 10" sub all sneaky spec. But....I'm EVER so busy.

The 2011 tech wagon that we have sounds pretty deng fantastic. I know it has a 10" sub. So I assume that most of the bass is handled by the sub rather than the speakers?

I'm not a windows-down at high speed kinda guy. I hate the fucking wind. I just like listening to shit REALLY loudly. I'm usually feelin them cool cool island breezes, ya feelin me? BOY-EEEE

The stock volume is fine for everything but the bass. Tryinna listen to eek-a-mouse or barrington levy. Hard AF. Just like they're saying life is.
