Meh, it gets up over 100 with 90%+ humidity during the summer quite often (though for not a long stretch of time) so I do understand. I hate sitting in traffic those days and do use the AC...in the Jeep, also vented seats are awesome.

Everything on the car is old school, I love it. Even the heater is totally overpowering for the small cabin and gets really fvcking hot.

I just wear the tires out before they need to be rotated.

The tires (and wheels) are axle-specific from the factory. The rear wheels won't even physically bolt down on the front hub.

So the car starts out as non-rotatable.

This is how my rear tires wore with -3 deg camber.

Most extreme performance/max performance tires are directional. You can flip them by removing them and re mounting them.

You cannot flip A-symmetrical tires like the RE11-A or Conti DW or Michelin PSS. The PSS is built so that the inside wears a bit slower than the outside though. You can cross rotate A-symm's though.

There are very few (none that I can think of) A-symmetrical AND directional tires. BFG KD's used to be. Back in 500 BC when they existed. When I ordered them for my old S13, I had to order 4 differenf part numbers lol.

Looks correct to me. Look in your owners manual. They're in there, IIRC.

That rear toe seems to be a TOTAL number. So...not 0.15" per side. Its like 0.08" per side. Trigonometry would show that to be around .18 degrees per side.

Front is total also. But...its 0. So...0 per side or total doesn't matter. Its 0. Y0.

Don't alignment shops' Hunter alignment computers have those specs loaded up? My alignment shop has all the OEM specs loaded for each car and just picks from a dropdown

Yep. Usually they do. Owners don't know alignment specs 99.9% of the time.

I mix and match and bring in my own specs. They do my car without model info.

Looking to spend about $1.50...maybe $2.00 on the right setup

$1k is realistic. I'm not opposed to buying used, but I don't want something beat to shit. 100% street use and I would like to avoid anything with crazy high spring rates. I'm leaning toward Buddy Club N+ since I've heard good things about daily usage. I've also heard awesome reviews about Ohlins and Bilsten PSS9 but I can't justify spending that much.

I would sell you my Espelir springs & stock shocks, but I was looking at them the other day and one of the struts is leaking ..

I know you're across the country, but try subscribing to the "WEST COAST S2000 PARTS FOR SALE" on Facebook and see if they'd ship.

Insanely good deals on suspension right now .. good stuff like lightly used Bilstein PSS9s, Koni Yellows, etc.

you want to go low but not too low and you want excellent comfort.

H&R Street Performance coilovers.
It's not like I've had multiple cars and multiple style and multiple brand coilovers to have formed a really educated decision and recommendation here.

They are the most comfortable daily driving coilovers I've ever been on. When my Tein take a shit, I'll be putting a set on the TL too. Something about a jap car driving like a german car...it just absorbs the bumps so well...over dampened, I've been told.

And they came off a track junky's car that swore by them, he just got curious and wanted to go more track oriented ONLY. He told me he ended up regretting it though.

that's like the 10th time I tell you to stop reading into the hype on the PSSY9 overpriced BS. Those rode like a total POS imo...probably track great...but daily driving over little bumps...ew. Ohlins are nice but super pricey too IIRC.

PSS9's are $300-400 outside your price range.

For a street driven S2000, it is impossible to overlook the PSS9. It would be my #1 choice.

I have Öhlins. But...my car had a different purpose in mind. And I paid next to nothing for them because as Leo DiCaprio said in Blood Diamond, "I KNOW people, eh."

PSS's are the non-damper adjustable version...and are about $1k. H&R SP are a H&R spec'd version of the PSS. Also about $1k.

The N+ is not comparable at all...in any way to the Bilsteins. And makes a mediocre street setup. Buddy club's damper curve is....unique....

on a budget though, I am not lying to you when I tell you that the Espelir give the perfect drop and ride REALLY nicely...dude, how much would your buddy at work even charge you to throw a used set on your stock shocks? My old s2000 had them on stock shocks and rode BETTER than the buddy clubs I put on (Chips). I should have left it at that.

and look at the stance with NOTHING done.

PS...I'm like -2 and -2.5 camber on my yellow S...buddy basically set it to perfect toe and as positive camber as I could afford without even scaring me with fenders.

That's what I was told...the H&R were rebranded to their spec...
which is funny because the PSS9 that I drove on in a friend's car drove extremely harshly.

Chip loves the buddy club N+...I did not love them and found them harsh. Unique is the right word...

PSS9 rode badly? Surely you jest!!!!

I've installed a few sets. One of my BFF's has them. And I've never heard anyone complain about their ride quality.

They're more street coilover than track coilover. BUT...they still work well on track. And they're cheap AF.

Could the ones I tried be damper adjustable and maybe they set them too hard? He's not set very low either...just didn't handle the small bumps well!

Perhaps the PSS9's you rode on were busted? Or...something? Maybe bad install or bad damper settings? Too low?

Or the car needed an alignment and the tires were slamming into bumps sideways. Toe being off can really affect ride over sharp bumps.

They ride better than stock in all the cases I've seen.

Monotube german shocks that last forever and can handle anything? For $1400? I'd make a joke about them using forced labor at their factory. But I'm afraid that may still be in bad taste.

They also maintain the external reservoir for shock travel. S2000 rear shock travel is a bit limited.

Way back in my ricer stage () I bought some FF Type 1's I got for a damn good deal new for my old 6th gen accord. Put them on and wow what a shittastic ride.. but I was in collage and didn't know any better, figured this was the price to pay for lows... I finally came to my senses and took them off and sold them (at a profit no less ) to a 2G TL'er here... Lesson learned: don't buy shitty coilovers....

Öhlins do ride better. But unlike the hype would suggest....not that much better than PSS9's.

I realize that the Öhlins are contending with higher spring rates...so any ride quality improvement is still miraculous.

But...for street use, you usually DGAF spring stiffness. Just end-result comfort.

Idk. Different strokes for different blokes. I'm a huge PSS9 fan for S2000's...and I usually hate everything. And the people whose cars I've installed them on are very happy. Whenever I drive my friend's PSS9 S2000, I think it rides incredibly well. Certainly better than stock.

I'm glad to see y'all realize F&F's ride so badly. There are so many civic/integra/TSX owners that say "they ride smoove doe". Must be straight up mollusks.

My official review of F&F1's was written thusly:
"In my old country, "donkey punch" is what you did to your donkey if he was making you late for school. F&F1's ride worse than that donkey."

Pulling the SamDoe card right now, but I absolutely love the AP2 OEM suspension now that I've been through a few different setups.

It's comfortable, predictable, and still offers good performance from factory (especially paired with a thicker front sway bar & the right set of tires)

I'd be eager to try some PSS9s / Ohlins / KWV3s, but I simply don't have that kind of money to shell out.

Yeah, it was right after driving a 2014 911 too...so maybe that was part of it. I doubt any of the things you said could be it, he's an engineer and meticulous. Maybe I'm wrong, I'd have to give them another shot. The fact that I love my rebranded ones means I'm probably FOS. The H&R are my favorite...and I think they're $1100 or so. Ride VERY well.
