The Official Honda S2000 Thread
FWIW, my AP1 has a CR front bumper and lip, AP2 trans and clutch (AP1 flywheel...which is another AP1 advantage along with the CDV-less AP1 slave cyl), AP2 radio door, AP2 heads/tails, OEM hardtop, etc.
I was hoping to grab a low mileage AP2 rear subframe at some point. And if I blow my engine up, I'd probably shop for a 2.2L.
BUT...the old girl's been holding up to 9 years of track use and 11.5K RPM. Original bottom end with like...almost 80k miles, IIRC.
So you can make the car what you want. Which is the reason I haven't sold my AP1 for an AP2 or CR.

I went to Amsterdam once. Everything they told you is true.
By that, I mean that its true that the name came from the word "Hamsterdam" because the whole place was over ridden by cute AF hamsters before the rastas got there to industrialize it.
God-dam, that was a crazy weekend.

To those that are looking to buy an S2k, just remember that it is one of the least practical vehicles ever made.
That said, I and everyone else who has one enjoys the ever loving fvck out of it. The S has so much character and panache and it has never been, nor will it ever be, in a rap video. This is why you don't see too many gems come up for sale and if they do, they cost an arm and a leg.
It's one of the best cars ever made and I'm not sure we'll ever see anything else like it ever. The driving and ownership experiences are second to none and anyone else who has one is automatically one of your best friends. The experience of absolutely caning the car on a cool summer morning is the stuff dreams are made of.
I will keep this car for as long as I'm able to do so and even if I buy another fun car, I will find a spot to store this thing for as long as possible.
Meh, it's not a huge deal for me. If there's even a chance of snow, I can just park it and take the Jeep which gives zero fvcks about snow or ice or dirt or gravel or rocks or really anything. Next week is (so far) just sunshine and low to mid 50's which is perfect S2k weather.

I wouldn't get quite excited... I know it's an El Niño year but at least around here snow is not uncommon in March. I think last year we had snow on March 23rd. Anyway, I'd like to be pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to put the PSS tires back on, but I'll wait until April as usual.

My only experience with Amsterdam was a hellish layover where KLM tried to tax us $1000 to get my sister's 2 dogs all the way to Switzerland after being assured by AA that the fee paid and paperwork done at MIA would carry us all the way there.
I know:
-BBW
-OMG
-BBQ
LMK
I like the AP1 steering rack better. And yes...the 9K rpm is nice. 8200 doesn't have the same panaché. In tangible terms, 9K RPM sounds a lot better through an exhaust.
The CR is obviously the best iteration of the S2000. AP1 steering rack. Similar sway bar rates as an OG AP1. But...AP2 goodness and a hard top...and collector item status.
I think the only car that could motivate me into selling mine would be a GPW CR. Or...maybe a NA2 NSX.

I've actually be debating that...
Also, is anyone interested in a silver AP2 radio door and center console pieces? I swapped over to CR parts so I've got them laying around. All of them in pretty good shape.
*edit* I don't even know the value of them

Real talk, though. You shoulda just missed your flight and hung out the place a while. Its a nice city.
Then again...my trips are historically "I think I'm just gonna do something random". I got lost in Paris once when I was 14. I didn't wanna go to the Louvre. So I took the train to somewhere random (not where the tour director said), and got lost in Paris for hours. AND when I was ready to go back go the hotel, I got the hottest lady in Paris to help me out and take me there. Found her at a bakery.
Pfffff. Louvre don't got that.

CSB dysdyk Johnny...half your posts are CSB
RolyPoly, we more or less do that now...we always pick a place, fly there and only book the first night hotel...then we keep a loose schedule and stay 2 days where we like and roll on through where we don't....

It's not bad at all. Makes my CR clone one baby step closer to a CR. I just have other things to spend ~$150-300 on and I'm skeptical of the quality of the eBay parts.
I wonder if that lady from Paris still thinks of me.
God dammit. I typed this shit in all caps. It got auto un caps'd.
This some bulllshit.
