All the cool guys are almost 60. Fuck, time is going too slowly.
Guys, everyone has a car. For me and Q, that car is the 3G (and now also the S2000 because I'm a nut and an asshole, but never both at the same time). For you guys it wasn't your car so I totally get you not understanding it. But as someone that recently acquired "THAT" 3G that I wished my previous 3G was...it was a no brainer and feels totally "worth it". As you all know, all of my cars have 3 pedals, which probably helps...as Sam mentioned.

Not to derail too much, but I went to see the s2k this morning. It was reasonably nice, but had been in an accident, needed a bumper respray and new top, and had an accident on the car fax. All OEM parts, it ran and drove great.
Tbh though, once I sat in it I realized it most likely wasn't for me. I test drove it and of course it was a lot of fun to drive. Had some fun with it, the seller was really cool. I figured if I got it for the right price, maybe I'd do it. His asking was $16k, it needed about $2k in work (my estimate). I made an offer and we weren't able to get anywhere near each other. I figured it was for the best.
Then I went to see this and bought it.

I had no intention (maybe I did
) of swaying your decision, but either way, both choices lead to great cars and that's all that really matters Moar pics!
Side though, I do miss my CLS-6 since selling it off nearly 2 years ago. I scope Craigslist all the time for a decently clean example for DD duties. It does look a bit dated, but a helluva car for the money since they're only going for 4-6k now.
So today, I was out with the family and I saw a clapped out silver s2k rolling by. Seizing the opportunity, I pointed it out to my boy, knowing it was in line with his hot buttons: convertible, spoiler (that makes it a "racecar"!), and a loud exhaust, and asked if he liked it.
He did.
Asked if he wanted one.
He does.
And then the wife chimed in that she liked it too and it was even the right color...
Me:

So save a place for me here, I'll be joining you guys in a decade or so.

Here's what they looked like when they were first done:
Yeah see, my new ones are 9.5 +45 with 255s. So the center of my tire is in the same exact place yours are, with just slightly more stretch. I have zero issues now, and my fenders are OEM ...just hammered and dolly'd flat.
That gold looks great on BB!

17x9.5 +45 would put your outer face .25" outboard of mine.
9 + 45 puts the hub at 6.27" from the outer wheel face.
9.5 + 45 puts yours at 6.52" from outer wheel face.
Centerline of the tire with respect to the HUB also moves .25.
Yeah, but I refer to everyone as "gurl".
Out to lunch with a male or female friend: "pass that ketchup, gurl. Get you some on your plate too, first, gurl".
Work client: "So we have a deal? Good to have met with you" :reaches his hand out to shake mine:
-"yeah gurl" :I gently tickle his palm with my fingers instead of a hand shake:
Helps to establish a dominant territorial boundary.
I use a soft barritone voice and eye contact through seductive...but relaxed eyes.
