The Official Honda S2000 Thread

As of right now, my tool set is really not that big, but they're quality pieces and I've had no real issue(s) with them.
My Craftsman mini-chest contains 3/8" & 1/2" & 3/4" ratchets (turny clicky things) w/ all necessary short & long metric sockets. Full wrench set (w/ Torque wrench). 4 Jack stands, 2 x 2 Ton Jacks, tons of prybars & breaker bars and a large can of PB Blaster.
There's more I'm forgetting, but I'd eventually like to get some air tools, larger compressor, and some Racing ramps.

wait until you try a pivoting 72 tooth snap on ratchet...
the craftsman will collect dust. I have revisited so many jobs i remember being hard before...and now, cinch.

If you're buying an air compressor just to use an impact...skip it and buy a nice cordless impact.
No...not a craftsman or Harbor Freight one. A good one.
I barely ever use my compressor.
Well...unless I need to use an air ratchet or cutoff wheel.
Or blow gun.
Dammit. Buy both

Where do you get your snap on tools J? Fell off the truck MIA special?
The ratchets I have are just crappy Home Depot Husky and Stanley ones. I considered picking up a set of Craftsman but would much prefer a solid Snap-On set of course

Air tools are one use for compressor. Personally i would use it for pressure washing, pumping up air in tires and bikes, blowing myself
Seems like a staple to have in a DIY's garage no?

I have all higher end craftsman stuff and for the minor wrenching I do on my own, it has been just fine. I have friends with nice snap on stuff and it's definitely better but I just can't justify that much more for my application.
This is how I've ended up with a lot of things.
I've had a compressor for a while so I just run a pneumatic impact. If I had to do it again, I'd definitely get the cordless electric. Sh1t I might just do it anyway.

I have two compressors lol. One I use in the garage to run the bigger things (HVLP gun, impact, pumping up car tires, bike tires, etc) and then a smaller portable one to use with nail guns, staple guns, blowing off dust, etc...

Johnny, Wacker let me try one 3/8" one...and a set of screw drivers from snap-on...after that...I had to have the 1/2 and 1/4...they're so good...
and you already know the story on my tool cart.

Gotta do an oil change on the ITR when I get home. This gives me an excuse to drive it mercilessly. Which is how I always drive it. But now...there's an excuse. So...I'm excused AF.
Is what I'll tell the cops.

Small one is 6 gal but a relatively low flow rate (2.5cfm@90psi). The bigger one is actually a smaller tank at 4.5gal but has enough flow to sustain a medium size impact indefinitely (5.0cfm@90psi).

LOL
my ebay and pawn shop finds...took a lot of hours and some spray paint and the help of my buddy wacker since snap on is guaranteed for life (or as long as they make replacement parts).
I don't have a little compressor but have often wanted one for small nail jobs etc...I have a big husky...can't recall the gallons but it'll run a sustained 125-150 cfm...with a decent hose and earthquake HF dual impact gun rated at 750 FT/LB I can even get the Crank Poullain.

Thanks Tyler...don't be jealous, my floors chip! But Rustoleum gave me a full refund so I can't complain...every few months I just mix up a batch of valspar epoxy I bought to patch and touch up so it's not obvious. I still love how clean the floors are in there, but kinda miss the rugged no shits given durability of bare concrete ass.
I've considered doing that epoxy on the garage floor but the problem is the slab has a large crack right down the middle (stupid CA earthquakes
) Does Rust-O-Leum talk about that at all? Would their epoxy effectively just fill in that crack? I could just ask google but then that would defeat the conversation

Most modern impacts don't use that much air, usually less than 5.0cfm@90psi. 125-150cfm is commercial level compressors, no way that's in your garage as it would be absolutely massive.
It's probably 12.5-15cfm.

Prep prep prep...
and do yourself a flavor and rent the fkng machine grind the first layer down to have a good bite. The acid only does so much...
my biggest issue is I did like 3 acid washes to ensure a perfect bite...1 of citrus mickey mouse shit i eat with my cereal and 2 of the muriatic shit that hussein/hitler used to put in people's cereal. STILL chips...but I've noticed it's mainly in areas where the concrete had cured with a fine dust layer that the epoxy adheres to right before letting go and flying away.
SO...
