While it's no SL, it's certainly not uncomfortable by any means! The seats could probably use a bit more cushioning, but I just eat lots of fast food and create my own cushions
There's something intoxicating about the S2k. Maybe because of the convertible aspect or it being a manual, but just about everything else I've driven recently is just "meh". I took home a Lexus RCF a few weeks back and while it was insanely comfortable and the power was fantastic, I felt disconnected from the car.

I love the car, it's an amazing machine but as a commuter car it's loud, cramped, rough riding, no creature comforts, etc...
As a sports car, it's one of the very best ever made.

The connection is very real, the car is almost telepathic to what you want it to do. Just point and shoot. Unless in the rain...

I can't lie...it's love hate. When it's heat soaking and hot as balls outside or raining and I have to have the top up...the car is loud, even down low...and no torque...which you don't need, but you feel it...
the love is just a lot stronger and I'd have no issues doing 35 miles at a time in it, especially if it's not in traffic.

Definitely a love hate relationship.
On cool mornings when it's all warmed, the car feels so alive & eager. Throttle response is fantastic, car feels decently muscular for a 4 banger.
On the flipside, I absolutely hate this car's guts when it's heatsoaked and the AC is on.
It feels like the car weighs 4000 pounds on a slipping clutch.

Cooling mods really wouldn't be a bad idea.
I'm waiting for my 11 year old radiator to shit the bed, I've love to get a more efficient Mishimoto unit.
Any modification ideas for lowering underhood temperatures?

do that cutout mesh shit everyone does...
i'm still a little form over function though, and I hate the look. hood spacers, probably...wonder if the cowl can be vented like on the TL.
Won't radiator just keep the engine temps lower but not the intake...which is what causes that bog?

+1 to the cool days when it just feels like it wants to play. If it could talk I'm sure it's telling me to stop being a little bitch and push a bit harder.

On days when it's 95 and you're stuck in traffic, it fvcking blows. My Jeep with it's panoramic sunroof, vented seats, and auto climate control is much better for those days/situations.

Yup, intake not radiator. You only need a new radiator if you're tracking and seeing coolant temps going too high.Originally Posted by rockstar143

You need the real cold air intake and a way to reduce engine bay temps.

Oh and just remembered... Ran into the previous owner of my S2000 at Trader Joes tonight. I mentioned before that he wanted to sell to get something more powerful (camaro, mustang, etc) and was in a rush to do so which is why he sold the S so fast.
Welp....he bought another S2000.
Said he couldn't live without one in his life and immediately regretted selling the one I now have. He claimed to have searching for another one a week later.

Speaking of, and we should all take notes.
My original 04 owner:
sold to me, a month later bought his friend's turbo S
reverted to stock and sold that one
bought a miata daily and lotus fun car
sold both
now back in another stock S2000.
Lesson to learn is if you got one, don't sell it. It is impulsive and probably happens on one of those hate moments, but the love moments, you'll miss in a major major way.

it's not a Vagon OR an S2000...end game is both.
Problem is...financially only responsible to get just the Vagon since price is so high. And lesbianas...totally different cars...you'll miss something from just owning one.

i learned my lesson many many years ago... i was pretty much forced to sell the LBP one I think i told you the story...
Now i am not picky... as long as the price is right and car is reliable, i will even buy an s2000 without bumper and interior!!!

I feel you, man...I won't even kick you while you're down. I remember that feeling and I remember your story. LBP is a sex color, don't blame you for missing it.
Not gonna lie, I absolutely LOVE Rio Yellow...it's not a color for everyone, but for a loud little honda roadster, I can't help but feel like it's a very fitting color.
