Terrified, with a massive grin on your face, you mean.
No. Legitimately terrified with a grimace on my face for fear that every object on the road may damage an irreplaceable $40M car. I would be borderline terrified to sit in that thing.
To a lesser extent, that was how I felt being a passenger in the last US-spec '57 Mercedes Gullwing.
No regrets, but was quite nervous until I was settled in the seat. IIRC, at the time it was somewhere in the $2M range.
have an AZ super-friend who has invited me in the past to come down to Texas and drive a CGT... I drove a 355 down there with him last time I was there..... Would I do it? Hell yes. But I'd for sure be hella careful.
I only know of the notoriety of the CGT being a difficult car to drive. I'd be more nervous about damaging the clutch than the car, depending on location.

yeah, I would be exactly the same. I think that even if I had huge amounts of money and 40M was of no consequence to me, simply the fact that I can’t replace the vehicle if something were to happen would take away a vast portion of the enjoyment.
but no I get it, what if I were to break something. wellllllll therein lies the detail of the invite, invited by someone who has trust in me not to do that. IF someone invited me to drive that F1 Longtail hmmmmmm. I would give it a go.

Remember a CGT is 1/40th the cost of a F1 LMR lol.
Finally got around to replacing my Interstate 24F battery at Costco this week. This is just the regular model, not the AGM line.
It lasted 9 years, the month/year code is 8/16
The Interstate battery I put in right after buying the car (also a regular 24F) crapped out after only 5 years (March 2017 - May 2022).
I replaced it with another 24F, which has been going for a little over 3 years (May 2022 - present). We'll see if it makes it past 5 years. I have my doubts, but ...
^ what's weird is my wife's 2017 CR-V Interstate (type 51R) last ~4 years and just had a sudden failure (open cell) a few weeks ago. Same series from Interstate. Where as this 24F slowly degraded over the past year.

I've always had good luck with batteries. I replaced the OEM battery in my wife's 2016 RDX in Feb of 2023 - exactly seven years. I still have the OEM battery in my 2020 RDX (2019 production) and passed six years last month.
Wow, that is impressive battery life. My Acura and Honda run through batteries every 3-ish years sometimes 4. Being in the engine bay exposes them to a lot of heat. The porsche battery lasted longer, I assume it’s because it’s further away from heat. Also, my mom’s old Mercedes had it under the passenger seat which also lasted a while, but when it died it was a pain to take out.

What car do you drive that you've had the battery that long?
