same here, looks wise, I can’t stand the hunchback look, but also from a practicality stand point, the rear glass slope really limits luggage space.
Someone a couple of weeks ago told me “oh you should buy your wife a cayenne coupe, she will love that it’s an suv, it’s sporty looking and…”
My poker face must slipped because they paused mid sentence while trying to pitch the idea.
the only use for that SUV my wife would have is running me over before returning it to the dealer.
for suv suggestion, my mom has an X7. Personally, I wouldn’t buy one but it is comfortable and to get to the 3rd row smaller kids can use the pass through between the 2nd row captain chairs.

I love the X7, would love for my wife to buy one but she gives zero fucks about cars and is perfectly content with her Subaru.
I'd have a GLS in the luxo-SUV market, think it looks marginally better than the X7. Both seem solid options, since Audi doesn't have a Q9 to compete with them.
I've seen a couple GLC coupes that look ok, but I'd just pocket the difference & get a C sedan or regular GLC.
Hmmm does this mean that my car is due for an oil change in 7800 miles or in 28 days?
first maintenance since getting the cayman back in September. Wonder how much of a raping it will be
Yep, the default is 10k miles between service which is pretty silly, the other parameter is 12 months. It doesn’t car if you drive it 5 miles every 3 weeks or track it every weekend. The cars first year service is free, so yay! (At least it was back in my days). After that, the bills do get comical, I try to laugh in order to hide my tears.
Oh, I was hoping to give you a little bit of good news, well, enjoy the circus
are you due for transmission oil, coolant, and brake flush too?
i did all my yearly service at the dealer during warranty period, now I’m out of warranty… I might still do the basics there just to keep a decent record with the dealer, if something happens, they might be more willing to help / work with me on repairs… at-least that’s what I tell myself.

is this your first trip to the dealer with it?
It's also good for resale value with a car like yours to have that level of service history.
Speaking of oil changes, it's time I take some lube to the BMW dealer soon. At least it won't be as bad as the oil change cost on a GT350 lol.

I have to double check the Carfax I have for the car to see the service history.
So far the cars been good. Only issue is that because it’s cold (relative for my area) it’s difficult to shift until the car is warmed up.
the cars at 40k miles so I’m assuming it’ll need the 40k service(?).
oh yea - cuz the GT3RS is the bee's knees ----- just incredible.
Sure...but people willing to drop a $100k ADM on a $300k (at least) car definitely already have several others that are more bee knees. $400k is landing you in Ferrari 296 or F8 territory. You could also get into a new Temarario (or however you spell it) for that kind of money, not to mention a whole host of other cars like a Z06, ZR1, AMG GT-Black, etc for even less money. And this is before even considering the used market for cars. The GT3 RS is an incredible car but not $100k markup incredible.
No denying that it's not special...just that there are a lot of also special and some more special cars out there for the same price. If you're wanting a track toy then sure, this is the right play, but if you just want to drive it around and have some fun? Ferrari 296 or Z06/ZR1 all day.
