Re: reliability these days
my friend got his SLS Black Series in January, it is in the shop now because it needs the transmission replaced. Why? A bad sensor. Apparently it has happened to several SLSBS's.
The transmission won't come in until June, he ain't too happy about that. They gave him some incentives and a 2014 S550 as a loaner.

Car meets are so weird for me these days. There will be like super nice cars there that I will just ignore. And then later on I'm thinking, I should have stopped and paid some attention to that car.
I think I might be a bit sad about that. Not sure.
It happens. You could take a break for a while ... Might help bring the novelty back.
Saw my first M235i last night. Dude got on it from a stoplight to cross three lanes in front of everyone. The car doesn't sound particularly awesome stock but it sure as hell is quick. I'm pretty sure I'm putting down close to 280hp and I don't think I could have kept up with him. FWD < RWD obviously.
Chris Harris traded his 612 Scaglietti for a FF and loves it and doesn't care what Yummy thinks.

A girl I know was telling me about her new Infiniti Q60 coupe. I looked outside and saw that it is basically the G37 coupe renamed for this model year?
Why did they bother changing the name? Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until the new body style drops?
I understand they changed the sedan to the Q50, but it was at least in line with a styling change. Changing it on the coupe just seems strange...

HA!
I know
I didn't feel like racing him because I didn't know he was going to do that and it's a public road. From watching him take off I do feel like the 135i was quicker. I had a guy in a 135i take off around me when I was in my S4 and it surprised me how quick that car is/was.

I do miss the torque sometimes.
Today I was grabbing some things for lunch, and while in the left turn-only lane, a guy in a bad ass sounding Mustang got right on my bumper... then I took the turn at 40 while he had to slow down
I couldn't help but think I would have smoked him in the Camaro... sigh
brb dropping an LS3 in my BRZ

It's amazing how the car fking drives.
But really though, I'm too old for that shit now (street racing). I still know people who go to the runs and race for money... no thanks.
This car is going to get me in trouble though. At first I didn't like the tires as they get loose too easily when on throttle in a corner... but just like the traction control-less Z28, I'm learning more precise throttle control. It is much easier to catch mid-powerslide and a lot less scary. I'll have a few track or autocross sessions on these tires before I get better rubber.
I think everyone should own a sporty RWD car at one point or another.

Yeah man. I told you it was pretty fun at the track with the stock tires. It was really cool to see how the car reacts in various situations.
My friends who have been tracking for so long said that I'm very lucky to learn how to drive with this car since it is unbelievably balanced from the factory.
