It's really too bad that VWs have issues because there are a ton of good low mileage GTIs out there that would be great options.

It was the same with MS3. MPG on the paper is nothing. It's all depend on our right foot.

And it's funny because my overall MPG went up after getting the car tuned. The stock tune was stupidly rich.

Oh yes, I was quite familiar with the MS3 and the garbage stock tune. For the longest time I didn't get what the term 'ZZB' was. Then I found out and

FYI, it stands for Zoom Zoom Boom. Can't remember exactly why, but I think the Mazda DISI turbo engines had a tendency to blow up.

It was proven multiple times that the sole cause of the zoom zoom boom was the poor tuning.

The Cobb AP enabled ANYONE who has $600 to spend tune their cars themselves.

This is the same for a lot of cars are attracted by younger crowd.

Only the idiots who have no idea would say zoom zoom boom. It's an automatic boom.

Someone give me an illogical reason why I shouldn't seriously consider buying this car instead of everything else?

Same...my Challenger's MPG went up with a canned tune.

Then I modded and got a custom tune and it went way down

Lexus?

They have those longer "wide" screens

But it would be a GS most likely...the new IS have the bad ass gauge cluster ala LFC

The new IS' are terrific. Seen more than a few clients a bit disappointed though when they learned you have to buy the F-Sport package to get the LFA gauge.

I did not know that...but I wouldn't want anything other than the F-Sport...unless its an all new IS-F when those come out.

Looks like all the focus of a new IS-F will be placed into the RC-F as Lexus' premiere M3 rival, after which comes the GS-F.

I don't think we'll be seeing the IS-F itself return this generation which is a shame.

I can give you 3 BS reasons:

No boost no care
No V8 no care
No 6mt no care.

It seems you want something more performance-oriented than your TL-S. This doesn't sound like the car that'd satisfy that.

Also, because you know you should've bought that Corvette when you had the chance.

That is true, but I wouldn't turn down a GS; it's pretty much everything the TL is as far as luxury/performance goes, just newer & nicer. :p

The problem is obviously it being out of my price range. Buuut then again, this is a '13 model & I could get a sweet little deal through work.

No 6MT kills it.

I can't drive an automatic car anymore. It's just boring.

As much as I want another manual, I'd sacrifice it for a luxury-oriented ride. My commute is primarily all highway miles, so if I can sacrifice a fun manual for a nice, comfort ride to dull that drive, I'd bite that bullet.

Only luxury cars I'd consider are out of my range, however.

I will say I love what Lexus is doing. Some of their designs are growing on me, but it's exciting to see that they're starting to get into the more sporty side again. Of course they don't have manuals available, but that hasn't stopped MB for the past two decades.

I go into boost quite a bit and I'm still averaging 27.2 MPG overall. I did notice it took a hit around the time the winter fuel started to come out for the season. I was averaging around 28 MPG over the summer, and the past few months it has been closer to 26 MPG. That's pretty consistent with last year's winter numbers, as well.

I still have to take it for extended highway cruises, too. Longest stint is only 1 to 1.5 hours. I bet I can easily get over 30 MPG. Heck, my best MPG was 29.7 back on 10/3/13 and that was still 75% city driving.

Forgot who told me about this, but he was right. I only have to push in clutch and press the start button. No need to press down clutch+brake.

Damn. So, Audi changed spark plugs/oil/oil filter and some other craps on the car for its 35k miles service yesterday. I had to drive it to work today because I need to ship out my Advan wheels to the buyer.

The car feels so much smoother. Not too sure if it's the spark plugs or something else, but it's noticeably smoother.

I yawned 20 times trying to drive an automatic though. haha
