General Car Talk Discussion Thread
So, here I am lately apartment hunting to move closer to work. And I had come to the realization that my desire to have a toy was going to have to wait a year or so until the Acura was paid off because I have no desire to sell it now since I just had the pre-cats installed a couple months ago.
Well, temptation is spitting in my face now since this showed up.

The car was originally for sale at $28K (2008/58,000 miles), which caused me to lose any interest. Sometime yesterday however, the sales office finally got the PDI work done on it & realized the car has no cat. converters what so ever. This car actually ends up having intake, headers, full exhaust, & a tune on it, which leads to the dealer putting it on wholesale.
Was able to get a quick test drive in it, even after I was constantly "made sure" it would not pass inspection & was my own "risk". No one knows what kind of tune it has, but it's fucking fast, the exact kind of fast I want!
Lot price with my discount would bring it down to $24-25K. Since it's now on wholesale, they'll consider $21-22K since they just want it gone. The color I'm not keen on, but the black top, OZ wheels & lip help a lot, plus it's a fucking manual. The car is a steal for what it is, mods or no mods. Unfortunately, I can either indulge myself or be responsible & let it go. It really doesn't help that I have someone who is considering renting with me now to cut the costs, too.
FML....

I just noticed that you can build the 2014 Chevy SS on their website now.

Edit: You can't do crap to this car

The money spent on PCDs is no different than having the transmission fixed to be able to sell it. Sunk cost, get over it, buy the Vette. Plus, the Vette already had the important stuff done...means no extra expenses for you = money saved = wise investment
I'll see if she's still there Tuesday & see what our finance office will work with.
I saw a little of the new C7 vette last night. Was sitting outside in a restaurant and this car right outside started next to me. The sound of the car caught my attention. I was dark so all I was able to see were the headlights. At first I thought it was a viper
When it finally went out and I saw the tails I knew it was a C7. All I can say is, it sounds nice haha.
