You start to get crazy and see about the dealer:

http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/Da...-review-15601/

Not good, but I checked other dealers in the area (even Non-acura) and they are get sucky review... I think people just hate car dealers in general...

keep in mind that people tend to post reviews when there's a problem or an issue.

I think people are quick to post bad reviews when they have a bad experience...Not sure about the other way around....There are also bad reviews for Precision Acura, where I got the TSX, and I found them to be good....

dealer review does not look positive, I'd just be extra cautious.

personally, I had a terrible experience with the Infiniti dealership where I got my FX, I wouldn't recommend them... and even though it's been over a year and a half... if I could... I'd write a bad review on them... I need to look into it.

One of my classmates was preaching to our class about his poor experience with his B6 model A4 and how he'd never buy an Audi again. However, I don't think he was being fair because like any car, the older the model, the less refined it is. And the B7 compared to the B6 is much more refined, but because people more people share their bad experiences than people do with good experiences, it severly tarnishes something that in actuality is good.

I kept explaining to him that the newer model A4 had fixed many of the issues he was complaining about but he wanted nothing to do with even hearing about. I understood his frustrationg about his current car, but to turn that into a blanket statement about the brand is bad.

The funny thing is he wants to now buy an Acura; however, I should have mentioned all the problems with the auto tranny's of the past to see what his expression would have been.

You're going to drive yourself mad. Trying to figure out which car to buy based ONLY on online experience will run you in circles. Seriously, make a list of only the cars you like enough (in some way) to test drive. Take a few days to test drive them all. You should easily be able to cross a few off the list just based on things you'll see, feel, hear, touch, and experience in person that you won't be able to online. Focus all of your energy on making a decision after you've narrowed it down to what you really like. In other words, don't stress out until you have to (you're worrying too early on in the game).

Right now, you have way too many possibilities and are trying to figure it out without any first-hand experience of any of 'em. It's going to be much harder to come to a conclusion this way, unless you honestly don't care how one car drives, feels, sounds, and how you fit in it over another (some people don't).

For Acuras and Infiniti, can't you take the car to any dealer after the purchase?

Exactly, so if the dealer sucks, who cares...As long as I walk out with a good deal.

Then get the Hyundai Sonata and be done with it. In fact, get one a few years old and you'll never find a better value.

I want a Sonata something fierce after I had one as a rental. Blends in, enough power, plenty of interior and trunk space, 30 mpgs.

Azera is also supposed to be really nice - I checked it out at the Auto Show. It felt much roomier in the back, and the materials felt good - sometimes certain Hyundai models feel great (IMO), and other models, the materials feel cheap. And I hope you didn't think my suggestion was sarcastic....I meant it. If you really want to feel good about a good-value purchase, look into Hyundai.

Definitely check out the Sonata. The latest ones (not sure if they're 08's or 09's) have a great looking interior.

The Azera is coming in MSPR for 29K. Why wouldn't I get that?

I have a very close friend who has an 06 Sonata, outstanding car ESPECIALLY for the price. The 09 has the updated interior, btw.

That isn't what you'd pay. Make the dealers compete against each other - they'll drop their pants for you.

I think hyundai has come along way, but in terms of drivetrain refinement I do not believe they compare when stacking up against the cars Whiskers is looking at. The engine/tranny combos gear to powerband does not seem to match and it seems that the trannys like to hunt for gears once and awhile, AFAIK they do not have anything similar to the grade logic controller Honda uses. Just something to take note of while test driving, I haven't driven one in awhile so these 09's may not have these problems.

Honda/Acura has been PLAGUED with bad trannies for the last 8 - 10 years. I've been in the Sonata numerous times and I've never felt any engine/tranny uncertainty.

I have noticed that the Sonata doesn't squeak and rattle like my 06 TL.

The Grade Logic controller was the first thing to fall out.

The interior on any Honda/Acura product is a work of art right now, not too many cars can compare as far as the interior is concerned. Other than that...well, like I've said... try it, you might be pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who has owned three Hondas and two Acura TLs.

Btw - My next car will not be a 4G TL.
