IDK if I am subin to the correct thread...But I am BRAND NEW to what is considered, "Quality Photography" and just purchase my very first intro model CANON EOS Rebel 600D T3i. After 10yrs of shooting with my SONY CyberShot, I broke down and purchased my very first SLR. Yeah, I know..."Green wet behind the ears, Rookie!"...lol! But I am stoked and can't wait to learn how to use it more then just focus and shoot. Thanks

Canon 5D Mk III Will Have Uncompressed Clean HDMI Out By the End of the Month by Chris Gampat on 04/09/2013 Remember last year Canon stated that a major firmware update was coming for the Canon 5D Mk III? Well in a recent interview with News Shooter, Chuck Westfall stated that they’re on scheduled on it will be coming by the end of the month. Now when you tether your Canon 5D Mark III to an external recorder through the HDMI port you’ll be able to capture completely uncompressed HDMI video in all its high definition quality. But hopefully there might be more to this firmware update that than. Canon has already stated that their speedlites aren’t performing the best with the camera when it comes to autofocusing. Maybe an Easter egg may be in there as well? This is an extremely interesting move for Canon overall now though because it now means that all video evaluations regarding the Canon 5D Mk III vs the Nikon D800 need to be redone. It makes us wonder if Sony will do anything else with the A99 to take these cameras on at a higher level. |

Just need to see how it does in low light/high ISO conditions. Hopefully it is head and shoulders better than the current 18mp sensor. I'd like to see it approach 6D levels of noise control.

Basically the sensor pixel site is divided into 2. When used for AF both the left and right are used for phase detection. When used for image capture both sides are used. Iirc right now the cameras that have dedicated AF sensor pixels are AF only, can't be used for image capture. |

I think the price they are going to be charging for the 7DII, a little more and you can get the 6D. The 6D's overall score (by DxO) was 82, which is okay by today's cameras (great if we're comparing to scores from a few years ago), but it did great in the high ISO test.
