C&P Random Thread -
remember my camera bag dilemma? well I recently took matters into my own hands.. after frustratingly trying to find a solution (and having to return a Lowepro bag that was too big) I've lately started using a 10-yr old Dell laptop shoulder bag for this purpose - it's great, I don't even feel it. The entire thing loaded up weighs only 14 lbs. I can carry this thing all day. I've even been able to fit both bodies in it, if I needed to (just have to remove the lens from the 5D - this bag wont fit a gripped body + lens).

even fit a hard drive inside today, all loaded up. using some dividers gathered from other bags Ive had over the years. The side pocket fits batteries, memory cards, other things like that.

Im actually really enjoying my flipside 300.
Just enough space to store my 1DmkIIn + 24-70 + 70-200 + 580ex.
Just right for an outting.
As for storage, too small, but that's not what that bag is for.
Thinking of picking up a pelican for storage. Then again trying to sell the 17-55 and 40D

ever consider ditching your 1D and replacing it with a 7D? my recent experience (5D to 7D) has convinced me that current generation equipment leads to far more enjoyment with photography... and also far more desire to do photography!
No way!
the 1D
Actually since I got the 24-70 I can actually use the 1D.
Just need to edit my photos.
If anything I can sell my 1DmkIIn, 40D and 17-55 and pick up a 1DmkIII.

Going to the House of Blues in downtown Dallas for a college wide party tonight.
Bringing my camera...along with an SB-900 to play around with.
Not sure what to expect...or if we'll be going anywhere else, but I'll see what I can come up with. Don't have a whole lot of experience with flash so I'm gonna try and use tonight as a learning experience.
Maybe once I turn 21, I can hit up the legit clubs in Dallas and Ft Worth and gets some pictures of teh
ladies like Mr. srika.
Somehow I don't think the pics will be quite on the same level as srika though.

Nikon introduced a bunch of small cams today, one of which is interesting to me, the P7000.

Cropping into to them "pixel peeping" a bit looks good.
