I agree. I've tried it a handful of times and didn't care for it and just went back to the eyecup. I guess I'd use it for overhead shots or maybe landscapes, because of the grid overlay, but I really don't see any other advantage to using it.
btw did you know Canon makes a 9-540mm f/1.7 lens?

WTF
I took a 1.5 minute video last night on the 7d and when I got home it wasn't on the card.
I hope its some kind of user issue. But, I took other videos prior to that and didn't do anything differently - I looked around online and couldn't find any reports of people having this kind of experience...

ok im on the new flickr. i do like they have 640 size.
they could have made it easier to link, as far as posting the URL and IMG tags on forums... I had a greasemonkey script installed that generated the code on the old one and it was cake to copy, I'm guessing that won't work on the new one.

Canon’s RED?
Received this spec list in regards to a video camera with an EF mount.
Specifications
- Unconventional case, more like a Hasselblad.
- Alloy heatsink for extended shoot times and lower heat related picture noise.
- FF 4k sensor, no line skipping and much reduced jello effect
- ISO 100-1600
- Pellicle Mirror however it can be flipped up if a OVF isn’t required to regain the lost 2/3 stop.
- EF fitment
- AF when pellicle mirror is down
- Digital Follow focus to control lenses electronically
- Twin CF slots
- Add on module with SSD drive for extended shooting, like a virtual film mag.
- 4:4:4 SDI out
- HDMI out
- 3D LUT capacity
This is currently a “skunk works project that was initiated with the 5D video explosion. Designed to be a base body, leveraging the existing EF glass. 3rd parties left to develop rails, matte boxes etc.”

so I went back to the old flickr lol. its stupid, if you go into image view, it centers the image so now I have to scroll to the right to see the whole pic (for the larger ones) - before, it was justified to the left so it was fine. just stupid, why they would do this. and, regarding the layout, its like they changed their navigation to i-Drive or something.. GHEY

I have a question.
Whenever I try to post a picture from flickr to AZ, I click on the picture on flickr, then click the ALL SIZE button to get the Large pic. I grab the photo's URL, then paste it here in AZ, and finally put the IMG brackets for each URL.
Are you guys doing the same thing?
Is there any easier and faster way to do this?? It's a bit of work, if I'm posting more than 6 pictures at the same time..
Thanks guys!

well on the 'old' flickr there is a greasemonkey script called allSizes+ that you just hit one click and it automatically copies the URL and IMG bbcode to the clipboard - at whatever size you want - then you just go to your forum post and paste! voila like butter.

Ive been trying to get full moon pics for the past week, but every night Ive tried its either overcast, or raining. Tonight I looked outside about 45 mins after sunset and the sky looked perfect. I headed out with two objectives, first theres a tree on top of a small hill that I want to get a silhouette shot of with the somewhat lit sky behind it....get there to find that the tennis courts directly behind it are lit upm ruining the shot.
Left there and drove to the far end of the lake to get some moon/cloud shots.....no moon whatsoever....wont be visible until a little while from now, and Im too damn tired to go back out FML
I need to check lunar calendars before going out.

On the way home from work today there was a guy (who appeared to be a photog) right out in front of Union Station selling a panoramic shot (looked like a HDR) of the bean and the skyline behind it. It was framed and had to be about 3-4' wide by 1' high. It was a decent looking shot.
Guess how much he was selling it for.
