Yeah I need to create an account there and spend time moving photos. It's that last part that's been keeping me away.

Flickr has become simply online storage for photos for me. Hosted backup really.

If there is a pic I really like and am proud of, it goes on 500px.

I have 3k+ pictures on flickr, and 27 total on 500px.

your photos would be seen more with Flickr too, but you'd have to join groups and add the photos to each group that applies... certain groups that have high traffic viewings that I know of are the strobist groups, and portraits groups... You'd join the groups with more members (in the thousands) and don't bother with the ones that have a few hundred or less members. Maybe it's more work, but I've gotten used to the routine.

oh, and then there's always going with key word taggings. The "wife" for some reason attracts a lot of perverts out there.... Which brings up another very low side of Flickr (seriously, if I wanted to see porn, I got to a porn site)

yes. I think they have paid offerings too, but I am not sure what you get. Maybe more uploads per months...

if i had a 5DmarkIII or 6D, i would totally consider it given that supposedly dramatically improves DR.

I've think about buying one of those now and then. Would auto focus even be that useful on a fisheye?

I never miss it on that lens. Have used it 99% at infinity focus. I do not think AF is needed for the lens.

I had Rokinon's 14mm f2.8 awhile back, and yeah... at infinity focus, especially stop'd down, focusing was a breeze

I received my 7D last night, only had a few minutes to mess around with it. Holy shit is there a lot to learn on it! Totally befuddled by how the AF points work still

You'll love it! Just go out and use the various AF settings... chances are you'll find one you think works best for your style of shooting and stick with it.

Lol. 7D's are almost a steal now for how much performance it puts out.

You know, I'm looking to replace my 1D, and as low price the used 7Ds are, I have zero interest in picking one up.

nice on the 7D, you'll enjoy it. I really started appreciating mine last summer when I shot it at a beach music festival and was thrilled with the results.

I am tripping over myself trying to decide which way to go with this....

I would suggest reading the manual, but perhaps there are not enough pictures in it?

In all seriousness, congrats! Read the manual, it will explain everything. Then just use the shit out of it to really get a feel for it.

I initially was leaning towards a 5D II or a 6D, but for half the money I picked up the 7D, and was able to put off having to buy a new lens to go along with it too, I'll use the 17-55 on it until I decide its time.

I think it was walsh you sold it to. Probably keep mine for backup even if i get a new body.

its all preference buddy, 6D is a good upgrade for you. but the 11 AF points might be a slight challenge for me since i have more on the 7D. thus why 5D2 or 3 is what i want next.

somebody wouldve died that day if it was me who was pushed.

Well the thing is I didn't have a body with an EF-S mount so it had to go.

And the reason why I don't want the 7D is mainly because it's a crop body. And if you believe in the DXO rankings. They rank the 7D exactly the same as my 1D mark IIn with my 1D having a slight edge in low light.

I can't Believe my 1D2N goes for $500 used now

And i could say Anything less than 45 AF points would be a challenge for me too but it isn't.

Fuck those punks.. I hope they do pay for the gear.

Also.. Nikon gear has survived immersion before. But it makes for a better story.
