your photos would be seen more with Flickr too, but you'd have to join groups and add the photos to each group that applies... certain groups that have high traffic viewings that I know of are the strobist groups, and portraits groups... You'd join the groups with more members (in the thousands) and don't bother with the ones that have a few hundred or less members. Maybe it's more work, but I've gotten used to the routine.
oh, and then there's always going with key word taggings. The "wife" for some reason attracts a lot of perverts out there....
Which brings up another very low side of Flickr
(seriously, if I wanted to see porn, I got to a porn site)

I would suggest reading the manual, but perhaps there are not enough pictures in it?

In all seriousness, congrats! Read the manual, it will explain everything. Then just use the shit out of it to really get a feel for it.
I initially was leaning towards a 5D II or a 6D, but for half the money I picked up the 7D, and was able to put off having to buy a new lens to go along with it too, I'll use the 17-55 on it until I decide its time.I am tripping over myself trying to decide which way to go with this....

I'm a man, we never read manuals
I think it was walsh you sold it to. Probably keep mine for backup even if i get a new body.
its all preference buddy, 6D is a good upgrade for you. but the 11 AF points might be a slight challenge for me since i have more on the 7D. thus why 5D2 or 3 is what i want next.
somebody wouldve died that day if it was me who was pushed.
Well the thing is I didn't have a body with an EF-S mount so it had to go.
And the reason why I don't want the 7D is mainly because it's a crop body. And if you believe in the DXO rankings. They rank the 7D exactly the same as my 1D mark IIn with my 1D having a slight edge in low light.
I can't Believe my 1D2N goes for $500 used now
And i could say Anything less than 45 AF points would be a challenge for me too
but it isn't.
