yeah, pretty commonplace. even though I've been to India several times in the past this is the first time I experienced real traffic there - since the last time I went was 1996 and well before the transportation boom. But its so cool how "everyday" transportation is in India - I mean, there is no road rage (at least the places I went to - Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Bangalore, and Chennai - I've heard its a different story in Mumbai). Everyone is interested in the same thing - getting somewhere - and its a dynamic that helps everyone get along - people cut in front of people all the time and its OK - nobody gets mad. They just let em go because the best analogy I can make to the traffic system is an ant farm. Everything is so quick and without thinking that it just works. I didn't witness even one accident the whole time I was here, and the traffic is so crazy that you would think there would be problems. But there aren't really. Another big factor is the speeds are pretty low. And there is a great sense of awareness everywhere.

I agree 100%. I think road rage really seems to be a western world thing, I think other places couldn't survive with the rage people in the US have.

Here's a shot from Saigon:

Nice shots. They were doing a celebration here at the Egyptian Embassy tonight. If I wasn't sick I'd go and take pics... I love capturing that type of energy.
