I played with cropping out the houses in the foreground, thinking they didn't belong there. But after a couple tries, they work very well.

i did the same thing...the houses kinda make the shot look crooked though..i straightened out the houses but then it made the buildings tilt to the left..

Great capture, black, white and red, good exposure, that is one weird looking spider.

It is and builds it's webs anywhere.This one was at eye level as I was going out the pool door It's called a Spiny Backed Orb Weaver. Long name for a tiny spider.
