lol...anytime...it's actually my friend's set up...he lives across the street...he built all the stands and even put a motor underneath the seat for vibration...you should see and hear it in person....it's so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you talking...the whole freaking room rattles and you can feel every bump you hit on the track while racing...

Creepy guy in the mirror.
I had the day off and had all kinds of aspirations of shooting all kinds of stuff. I ended up unmotivated and couldn't bear the cold. I went to this old abandoned farmhouse and snapped a few. This is all I ended up with... The house is in terrible shape and I will be surprised if it is still standing by the end of the winter. I only stayed on the main floor as I was alone and didn't have a death wish

I've been Canonized ;)
This is my first real try at doing an earnest portrait. It's not an easy thing to do, as I just learned i.e. lights, exposure, pose, constantly fiddling with hair, etc.. It did give me more appreciation for those that do well at it ( you listening Conrad? ). My daughter is my only model and she was wonderful it! This will take much more time on my part to get the results that I see in many portraits.
C&C is welcome.

I think it came out great. I have not tried that sort of portrait photography. Most of mine are candid at a party shot with the zoom. What did you use for a backdrop and lighting?

Thanks. It was just a black backdrop with 2 softboxes. I've done some internet research, now that I've tried it, and will do some things different next time. Hopefully I'll get better

nice portrait LKLD, I think I would have considered some kind of backlight to give her outline some definition. It's not bad the way you have it, I just like backlighting.

Yeah Srika, you're right. After looking around a bit I found a wealth of info. on this. Next time I go back I'll try a lot more, including backlighting. Funny, it's one of those things, where you don't pay attention to something until you try it, then you want all the info. you can get your hands on after that

I snapped this on a drive this morning. There was a nice frost on all the trees and a heavy frost. The color cast looks a little cool, but that really was what the sky and snow looked like.
