In 13 rolls of film being scanned, it will have paid for itself. $15 per roll for 5x7 quality TIFF is annoying. I will let them do the C41 or E6 processing for $4-$8 and scan it on my own.
Would you mind asking your friend if he uses Silverfast, Vuescan or the software that comes with the printer?
This is a whole different animal, but I really like the film process.

Looks good! When I shot the 12 hours of Sebring, I used continuous auto focus with my 70-200 f/4, I got quite a few sharp images.
It may or may not work for you, depending on what you're shooting.
I used a smaller auto focus "window" to try and keep focus towards the middle of the frame, or like your photo with the focus on the right, you should be able to move the focus point to wherever you want.

Thanks! First one is the Maroon Bells in Aspen, CO and the second is Independence Pass in CO.
After further review, I think I need to back off the yellow tinge in the future...

Colorado is phenomenal. If I could spend a month just wandering around taking pictures I'd be a happy man.
That said, here are a few more from the other side of the world in Switzerland. More specifically Rigi and Lucerne.

Tried to take pics of the Perseid Meteor shower last night, being past the peak, we didnt see much, and i barely got any on camera. I think 1 tiny one out of the 4 i saw the 2 hours i was there.
anyways here is a picture of the sunrise i took.

apparently i did capture an image of the a meteor from the Perseid Meteor shower... although its very small compared to the one I saw with my own eyes.
You can kind of see the greenish blue tint of it, thats how it was IRL.

SO I went and did my first family shoot for some friends. I rented the canon 85 F/1.2 and the 24-70 F/2.8, wish I owned those lens there really nice! I think I took roughly about 300 shots and slowly making my way thru them but here is 3 of them I've gone thru so far. I don't think they turned out to bad especially since I've never really photographed people except for a couple shots I've taken of my wife
