Most likely the last hummingbird early session for this year, as they take off for Mexico. Have about 100 GB of these guys this year, man more to process over the long winter....

Good call. That will be really cool. The 'valley' floor for that whole expanse is >3000' and the hills go up from there, so I should get that chance no problem.
I didn't realize this until I saw a shot from another photographer on FB last night, but that nifty glow with it's uneven-ness in the first shot I posted yesterday is the aurora borealis! My first time capturing it.
This is what Pete Alport grabbed from up in the mountains that night. His stuff is epic..

^ lol nice. Are you shooting all Sony stuff now? If so what are your thoughts on going Canon to Sony?

I've always shot Sony, since 2008. But I DO own a Canon 17mm tilt shift lens which works with EF to E adapter

Nevermind then...
I'm making the switch as soon as I can scrounge up $3k for an A7R2. A72 doesn't have the low light performance I want. A7S/A7R don't have PDAF so poor third party AF performance. A7S2 isn't out yet and will cost just as much as R...so that leaves me with one choice.
By the time I find the money for the A7R2, there will be an A7R3.

The low light performance of the A7RII isn't too far off from the A7S
