That’s real cool. So what are you trying to say.... Is this new company somehow affiliated with Tesla?

Ha ha.
From Twitter.
Peeps ask “Is it too late to buy $TSLA?”
If you bought now, you tell your grandkids: I invested when only 2% of cars were EV. Before TSLAs first split. Before cars drove themselves. Before TSLA was a global energy leader & insurance CO. IDK about timing but this much is true.

Tesla bought Maxwell - a company that specialized in high speed battery manufacturing - last year. I wonder if there is a link between that deal and Ampirus.

^Hibar is the company they bought that has the high speed automation tech.
Maxwell has dry battery electrode tech which allows them to make batteries without baking them in massive ovens like they do now. This will lead to a battery that's more energy dense, cheaper and by passes the ovens so it does make the overall process faster since it skips what is now a crucial part of modern battery manufacturing.

I’m counting on incremental improvements only. As suggested, the breakthrough technologies are for a future roadmap. Otherwise “Osborne” is a concern.

Yeah from that video it seems like the nano wires tech isn't ready for primetime yet, but they can still mix in a little bit of silicon powder with the graphite powder and get a 15% energy density improvement and that's a big improvement for a much lower cost. If that amprius silicon powder can be combined with the Maxwell tech we could be looking at an easy 30-40% increase in energy density in the near future which would improve their batteries energy density from the 260wh/kg to 335-365wh/kg range.

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, is on a mission to have his company launch more affordable electric cars. The next big project is to create a Model 3-based hatchback and it could be built at the firm’s new plant near Berlin, in Germany, and be aimed at the European market.
Autocar quotes Musk when he spoke during a recent conference call with investors as saying
‘ We will not succeed in our mission if we don’t make cars affordable”, adding: “The thing that bugs me the most about where we are right now is that our cars aren’t affordable enough. We need to fix that. ‘
No word on when this hatchback, as well as a possible larger vehicle are to be launched, though. They must surely be a good few years in the future, given the fact that Tesla still has to launch the Cybertruck, the Roadster and the Semi (as well as the fact that the pandemic has affected most automakers’ plans and launch schedules).
This hatchback would be a direct rival to Volkswagen’s ID.3, as well as other (even smaller EVs that are already sold in Europe or are on the verge of being launched. But in order to compete, it needs to match or beat it in terms of pricing and since it is expected to be conceived and built in Germany, Tesla might actually have a shot at undercutting the VW.
Part of the savings will come from the use of a huge aluminum casting machine that dramatically simplifies the process of creating the car’s unibody. The technique is already in use at Tesla’s California plant and it reportedly shrinks the number of separate pieces that come together to create the frame from seventy to only two.
However, since the Model 3 is quite a bit nippier than the performance figures that even quickest ID.3 is projected to achieve, it’s likely the Tesla hatchback won’t need to be as powerful as the Model 3. We also don’t know what the car could end up being called, but Model 2 sounds like a simple solution to this naming conundrum.

Somewhat related to the above:
https://www.greencarreports.com/news...f-range-36-000
To achieve mass adoption, the average electric car will need to offer 31-minute charging, 291 miles of range, and a base price of $36,000. Those three factors comprise a global tipping point for EVs, according to a new study commissioned by oil company Castrol, which is looking to sell so-called "e-fluid" lubricants for EVs.
Findings are based on surveys of 9,000 consumers, 750 fleet managers, and 30 automotive industry professionals in 8 countries—the United States, United Kingdom, Norway, France, Germany, India, China, and Japan.
Consumers surveyed ranked price as the most important factor in the potential purchase of an electric car, followed by charge time and range. Most car buyers seem to expect some breakthrough in battery technology soon, as 61% are adopting a "wait and see" approach, according to the study.
Fleet managers appeared cautious as well. While 58% said they felt "personally motivated" to go electric due to potential environmental benefits, 54% are waiting for competitors to make the switch before they do, according to the study.

TSLA close to breaching $2300, it’s well above the $420 post split .
The only person kicking his own ass and eating his own s*** will be Sheikh MBS for dumping TSLA at a throwaway price.
Guys, it’s still a bargain, get in now while you can. It’s only going to go up post split when S&P affiliated corporations are forced to buy into TSLA.
Who knows, by Christmas Tesla might be a trillion dollar corporation and your stock might be worth multiple times, and you can buy your favorite car /house without guilt. Good luck.

I hope someone didn’t pass up the opportunity to buy into TLSA @ sub $400 prices. What a bargain. It’s funny cause just a few weeks ago people were questioning that $2000 price (=$400 now) was overvalued. . There’s stil hope. You can still potentially double your savings by getting in now as in NOW !!!

I suspect Tuesday will be another roller coaster for Tesla. The good news is - thus far - there appears to be support around $380.

Kind of curious now, but with an electric car do you have to worry about it getting hydrolocked? obviously not like an ICE but in other ways

yeah, it can be propelled a little bit until the wheels are fully submerged. Afterwards, it’s all on how slow or fast it sinks.

Shares of Tesla tumbled 7% in extended trade on Friday after the electric car maker was excluded from a group of companies being added to the S&P 500, among them Etsy, whose stock market value is less than a 20th of Tesla's.
The decision by S&P Dow Jones Indices is a blow to Tesla investors who widely expected the company to join the benchmark stock index after a blockbuster quarterly report in July cleared a major hurdle for its potential inclusion.
