^ Agree.
Don't get me wrong, i think it's fantastic the Accord gets LEDs. but my original point was that HID in the Accord would've done the job too, & the LEDs, while providing better lighting when appropriately equipped (but let's be honest HIDs are nothing to scoff at), are kind of not necessary. And that for the Accord to have it while the RLX, from the rumor that base model RLX won't get them, is absurd.

On the other hand, I've seen people saying that Honda has always been limiting themselves by only offering the goodies on Acura models. This essentially makes their Honda models not as competitive. For instance, people used to complain that manual mode with AT is an Acura exclusive feature and it's not available on the Accord. But some competitors in the Accord segment have such feature available.

I guess this is why the Accord does nothing for me. ![Shrug](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif)

^^but then again, I remember that version of sonata having some resemblance to the Accord as well.
But I see your point. This Accord is a family sedan, through and through. At least it won't offend. Its vanilla, but there is bland vanilla, and there is good vanilla. Seems the majority buyer prefers sensible to sexy.

seeing the newer pics and angles, the rear doesn't look like the Genesis that much.
I'm totally in love with the new Accord at this point, I think it looks great. Can't wait for the official reveal and more interior pics.

Let's face it, they look almost identical from the rear.
And yeah, it looks like it could have been around 5 years ago. How times have changed since the 98 Accord Coupe.

The borrowing of styling cues goes in every direction these days. That notwithstanding, the Genesis sedan is a beauty. Hopefully, Hyundai can build the brand itself as good as the cars they're producing these days.

Avalon is large car.
Premio is equal to Honda Civic in wheel base and size. (far higher grade than Civic) while Corolla Axio is equal to Honda City.
Rear camera with guide lines & push start were in Toyota Japanese vehicles almost a decade ago. Bottom line is there is nothing in Korean makers that is original. Every thing was done in Japan domestic market.

Hyundai copied from Toyota. which was using these oversize back lights on on Japan Domestic models.. Hyundai learn all that heavy chrome plated grills. from Toyota. Honda used smaller lights & less chrome. See 2G RL, Honda Inspire, 1G & 2G Euro Accord.

I feel the need...
For the record, from what we've seen so far, the Accord appears to be a meaningful improvement over the past two generations and should be a solid hit.
#3078
^ Agree with both of you. If anything it should be the opposite occurrence. New technology and/or additions to the lineup should be introduced in the luxury maker and than trickle down to the mainstream automaker.
But when was the last time that Honda/Acura ever made rationale and normal decisions, lol.

The interior looks pretty good, but that center stack just looks disjointed to me. If you count the nav screen at the top there's basically four distinct sets of controls/screens with basically no "flow" to it that seem to be slapped together. None of the pieces look bad, I just wish they had take a little more time to make each part work better together.
