Acura: TSX News

This thread should be combined in the next gen (09)TSX thread. Note the MDX grill and smiling cat face...secondary market should do well selling better looking grills for the new TSX if this makes production.....American Accord coupe looking better all the time...

This is just a concept.. If they'll change anything before going into production it'll be the grill.... If not, be prepared, because your TSX will again be based on the european (and japanese) Accord :-)

If they put the 2.3T and SH-AWD with a 6MT in this "Tourer", I would be first in line. It's funny how even in Europe they are trying to change the way they say "station wagon". They typically call wagons "Estates" in the UK, or at least they used to. At least they didn't fall into the "Crossover" trap.

I like it! Now if they can slap the SH-AWD into that...

Considering the time line (less than 6 months from production), the production version can't be too far behind this concept.

Oh noes!!!! A rendition of the MDX grille on the TSX?!?!?!
The rest of the design is allright...but nothing to write home about.

Now I wonder if the next TL will also borrow these lines from the Accord Tourer. The TSX and TL have the same overall bodystyle right now except for the side indent in the TL and the different rearend, but that's it.

Ooooooooh! I love it! What a beautiful wagon! If it's ever going to be sold in the US (which I seriously doubt), I am gonna get one! In the meantime, all I can do is to drool....

I'm the Firestarter
Front and back can very easily be different for the US version, like the US Civic has different shape head and tail lights than the Japan model. The Acura grille is guaranteed to be somewhat different too, this is a Honda grille.
What wilL NOT change is this massive front overhang which I REALLY don't like. Why must Honda cars be so front-heavy...
(Yes, I know, it comes with FWD...)
If the front proportions are more like the Sports 4 concept then it's ok, otherwise I'm not so sure... Does every Acura really HAVE to have a 60%/40% weight distribution?

biker, got the SH-awd from a GM returning from national meeting last year stating that they would probably add SH to all new models, ie RDX, TSX and TL....The wagon is a maybe when the oil burner comes over (my deduction).....just hoping the pointed bumpers and grill do not reach production.

I just don't see any wagon making it to the US - I mean look at Acura - 1/2 their sales are from SUVs. Do you think they'd want to cannibalize those sales with a lower priced/lower margin wagon?
The diesel coming over does make sense, just not in the wagon.
First with the USDM Accord and now with the EuroAccord, Honda is debuting a high volume model in a lower volume form (coupe for USDM Accord and wagon for EuroAccord). Do they want to hide the sedan till production?

Swift, I was fairly sure a TSX coupe was coming but got a mixed read lately…my guess is TSX coupe probability is 60 % and you may not like the engine as a 6 will probably not make it….my guess….. a lot of us are hoping for a coupe…like in give us a choice please…

Does anyone else find the design evolution to be backwards?? Is this Honda's indication of what the next TSX will be?!?!
I like the Sports4Concept a WHOLE LOT better (especially the headlights)...
The 'Accord Tourer' shown at Frankfurt lost the 'Sport' from the first concept...
I hate headlights that connect directly to the front grille (think new STi, USDM Civic, JDM Odyssey) and the hood/fender flares that made the Sport4Concept so slick are now completely ABSENT. I hope Honda isn't going in the direction I think they're going (conservative non-sporty).

I hate agreeing with you but I have to in this case. The NSX and Sedan concepts that came out last year were unbelievably bad. And the Euro and new NA Accord don't help matters.
