that video was lame- I like where they are going with the car.

Did they keep the titanium rods for the life of the 1st gen model?

The Ti con rods were a big engineering selling point on the car that remained all the way through production.

That's not quite the animation I had in mind. It was as if they just recorded an image bouncing around in a screen saver.

I love these guys who think they can hypothesize what it will look like and what it will have because they think they are far enough up the food chain...makes me laugh every time.

Looks like a 3G TL got it on with an RSX and had a baby from that picture (looks like the 3G TL may have also fooled around a bit with an Audi A6 based on the front end.)

I'll withhold any judgement until I see something more official.

I hope it looks far different than that "animation".
I hope the peeps that designed the new MDX are NOT working on the new NSX.

True, it looks hot though!! About time Acura started catching up to the big dogs of Ferrari and Porche with a 500 HP engine...

Interesting that CGI shows it becoming a GT rather than a sports car.

Did I read that properly? Next gen NSX (concept) to appear at the Detroit Autoshow 2007?! (I'll remind myself to take a day off work to see that in person...)

It's a rip-off of a MB CL and it's Cadillac counterpart.

But again, it's not an official Acura CGI... It's some 3rd party artists rendition, so discussing it in detail is pointless.

Those CGI's are throwing everyone off. This looks more like the NSX as posted before.

Honda insists that the NSX won't look anything like the HSC concept, but I have a feeling it will.

I actually liked the HSC concept.

If Acura builds just another bloated front-engine, rwd coupe, I'll pass.

If they stay true to the spirit of NSX: lightweight, mid-engine, high rpm f-1 sounding screamer sub $100k, I'll put my duckets where my mouth is.

When did acura ever have a front engine rwd coupe? I hope acura builds that coupe as a G35 and 3 series Coupe fighter. Give it the 3.5 and SHAWD, drop a comptech blower and we have a winner. Then drop the NSX with lots of power and make it a beast.

As Bigman noted, Acura has never had an FR coupe. The NSX was an MR coupe and the CL/RSX are FF coupes.

The one FR coupe Honda did produce (S2000) is certainly not bloated.

Key word in the phrase being "just".

I wouldn't mind a FR coupe though, return of the legend coupe with the next gen RL. Very in line with the image they want. It just wouldn't be an NSX. There have been rumours of Acura producing both the NSX-like sportscar and a GT.
