06 TSX Stereo not working after battery died

I had to jump start my car after my 06 TSX battery died and now I can not use my stereo. What do I do to make it work again?

Thanks!!!!

Does it not turn on at all or did you not put in the security code for the head unit? When you cut power to the head unit the theft protection kicks in and will lock you out of using it. You need to enter the security code for your unit before you can get it to work again. Check your owners manual on how to do that. The paperwork which came with the car should have included the radio security code.

ugh oh...I no longer have the manual. I'm guessing this is a unique security code for each car? I guess I need to go see the dealer?

Curious -- where do you enter the code? Under which screen?

Thanks!!!

I know with the 1st gen CL's that have at least a similar security system on the H/U, you can use the VIN number of the car, and the number off the back of the H/U and call Acura headquarters, and they should give you the correct code... Other than that, i think you're going to be looking at a minimum fee of like $20...

Look in your glove box for a sticker with a 5 digit code. Some dealers put it in thee for ease of owner.

If it's not in the glove box call the original dealer that it was purchased from brand new and give them the VIN and they'll give you the code. If you bought it used and dont know where it was purchased from brand new then you will have to have the radio removed to get the serial number then call any Acura dealership for the code. BTW you use the radio preset numbers to enter the code.

or it's on the business type card with your navi code in your leather pouch in your glove box.

for tsx's w/o navi -- you use the presets to enter
with navi -- you turn the right knob, and press it to enter each number

Here is a link to the TSX Forum where you can find the 06 Owners Manual:

https://acurazine.com/forums/tsx-frequently-asked-questions-125/faq-owners-manuals-674497/

There should be instructions in the manual of how to enter the security code.
