blah blah blah new page.
so i need help finding a location in and around SLO (san luis obispo). if anyone has a suggestion please share. i'll keep searching.
i suggested santa barbara, but that's a little far for norcalers. BUT its about 1 hour from SLO and there is a lot more to do.

I dont know if a SLO county park is out of the question but there are several parks in the general area that meet the requirements of ample parking, BBQ pits, benches and sporting activities. There is a small cost to reserve certain areas ($50-100) and another small park entrance fee per vehicle ($5-7). You can use Live Maps maps.live.com or other online services to see good aerial views of the locations.
The moderators could simply reserve an area like this, everyone pays their own parking fee along with a $5 Acurazine fee for the food and activities...For an all state type event like this you wanna go clean and make it fun. Keep the potlucks for the regional meets.
I haven't looked at state parks or other options but I thought I would throw this out there.
Heres a link, you can click on certain parks and see what they offer:

this is the location that we have the first All Cali meet.
Biddle Regional Park
Willow Bluff recreation area
3500 Lopez Drive
Arroyo Grande, CA 93420
in 2007, the price to reserve is $90 and $2 for parking. I think this is one of the best place for our meet since we can have all the park for ourself which can fit 60-80 cars and in secluded area. Unless someone find another better place, my vote will be on this place.

Possible SLO Locations
1. Los Oso Park (map) - good parking, looks alright. close to the beach.
2. Nipomo Regional Park (map)- Good Parking, looks like a lot of benches
3. Lake Lopez - Arboleda Group Area - Can't find much information. Its near a huge lake though, but might be too much nature.
4. Biddle Regional Park (map) - Good parking, looks good.
That's all I got for now... seriously all these parks are in the middle of no where... looks like crap on Google Earth

and in the past west coast meets we had people from washington drive down to oregon, and many of us around here drove up. 5.5 hour drive at the speed limit from where I live to medford oregon
i think a few guys from washington drove 12 hours.
I remember a guy from canada drove all the way down to the clubSI pismo meet way back in the day.
You will be missing out on the biggest meet of the year.

this will be a huge meet, im hoping we keep improving each year. i'm really hoping for a more organized meet this year with good activities and actual "bonding" (nohomo).
anyways any thoughts on the locations i posted #213? I searched Pismo Beach and I couldn't find crap. great little parks but absolutely no parking. I'll keep looking, I rather have Pismo than SLO.

5. Tidelands Park - I really like this one because its right next to the shore, good parking (which is actually parking for trucks hauling boats, might be a problem).
Edit: Added #5, please give any input.

This would be my first all cali meet. Biddle looks good to me plus people seem to have had a good time their. I think a potluck is cool. My sis could hook us up with some good food/snacks.
Nor Cal guys when we get'n a track day meet going????? The tracks start opening in about a month.

I say no to 5 just because it will be summer vacation and everyone is going to be out on the water and like u said trucks with trailers will be taking up the parking. THats 2 spaces for every truck.
I was thinking 1,2 or 4 are pretty good ideas. I'm leaning towards 2.

Biddle looks good (Willow Bluff Area)....gazebo area, bbq pit, horse shoes, volley ball, electricity (music/announcement pa), water....looks like a real good spot. Best of the 5 from what I can tell.

I hope to make it out to the All Cali Meet not sure if I will still be here though. Moving back to the east coast and representing the Acura's in Pittsburgh. For food have you looked into catering or something like that. I am sure if everybody threw in like 15 bucks or 20 bucks you can get some decent catering or one of those BBQ trucks.
