Flashed Tune 4 today and it runs strong. No check engine lights all day until tonight. Threw P0139. I did install pre cat deletes but no codes from that. Not sure if it popped up due to the flash or that. Everything is installed correctly and car runs good. Gotta reset and see if it comes back. Definitely excited to see what this can do with a custom tune.

Did you disable rear O2 heaters? Or adjust your defoulers on the rear O2s?

Defoulers were left in the same position I got them in. I only rerouted the front O2 sensor wires due to not reaching. Hoping this is a easy fix or fixes itself out. Wired that it happened after I flashed and not before as the deletes install was a few days prior to flashing.

If the system is happy with the defoulers in place disabling the O2 heaters while they're still connected could be bringing up this new code. It's O2 responsiveness. This is not the case on other platforms, but your ECU is different and Honda likes to do odd things sometimes.

Not sure if I'm blind or whatever, but has anyone with an FWD gotten the tune and a dyno with this yet? The only thing I'm seeing around the web is a V6 CU2 TSX that jumped 30WHP with it. Everything else being stock. Seriously considering picking this up this summer once all the external mods are done.

I have a 2010 FWD TL and I had my car dyno tuned with KTuner and gained roughly 30-32 whp. I think my original post was #396. The car feels much quicker and more responsive as well as much smoother. If you have any questions let me know

Definitely getting the tune now after reading that. Ended up finding a tuner down here that has the Ktuner hardware on hand so I'm just gonna head his way once I get my PCDs installed. Tossing on some Magnaflows and hopefully a larger mid pipe tomorrow. PCDs soon to follow. But thanks for the info and I'll definitely shoot you some questions if I have any!

I'm Rotrex Supercharging my 2010 SHAWD 6MT and would love to have MAP-sensor-only tunability for boost. The supercharger kit is designed and just needs installed. Is the feature close to being released? I saw that it has been in Beta. Thanks.

I experienced the same thing. Car is quicker and more responsive. The dyno showed gains in power across the entire power band. Max torque came in lower and the car will rev to almost 8K now.

I have a 09 SHAWD TL with a takeda intake, P2R throttle body spacer and intake runner, RV6 V2 PCD and jpipe, XLR8 catback.

Baseline numbers (running poorly and extremely rich)

~241hp(7200rpm)/183tq(6600rpm)

After tune

~271hp(7600rpm)/205tq(5500rpm)

Apologies for any typos. This was composed on my phone.

Wait..271 wheel? And 7600rpm? Holy. But why's the torque so low?

Those I nice numbers Pandayo. I bet you would of gotten better results with some lighter wheels. The torque is on the lower side, I made 242 lb/ft tq around 6250rpm. My next mod are the HFPCs and a re-tune and that would be it for awhile.

If you do get it tuned to higher numbers do to lighter wheels, what happens when you swap back to your heavier wheels? I'm sure it'll be slower but does that change the numbers?

I got it done at Evolution Auto Performance- Make some upgrades to your vehicle today! out in Maple Ridge. They're a k-tuner dealer and have quite a bit of experience tuning on the system with different applications. However, I'm the first 4G SH-AWD TL they've done so far.

Thanks. I spoke to Kevin there a few weeks ago and he will be tuning my car.

I thought perhaps you had another local tuner that did the work.

Thx

Looks like there are some great results coming out now! Now all we need is a supercharger or turbo kit

Been a great week for my 6MT SH-AWD!

Last Saturday she got all new PowerStop pads and rotors which have been a very nice improvement.
Sunday was all new NGK Iridium plugs (103k on the stockers)
Tuesday I had a muffler shop install the XLR8 extended j-pipe (V2) with 3rd cat delete. I took a look at doing it myself but our winter road salt and all those bolts? No go. Noticed a nice gain with both new plugs and that pipe
Then yesterday my K-Tuner arrived so I got that all up and running. I first tried Tune 4 and wasn't actually happy with the change. Probably because I'm just not modded enough (j-pipe and 3rd cat delete is all I've got). But, I loaded up tune 2 and am in love. Very good, well-improved throttle response at all RPMs, my car doesn't feel so inconsistent from the beginning of a long drive to the end, and I feel it pulls better up top as well. The top end didn't wow me as much as I had hoped but again, not all that modded. It feels like it's holding back a little in VTEC, not really sure how to describe it. I'm going to check in on the air filter soon in case that needs changed. I'm keeping the stock airbox. If there is a drop-in filter that is better than OEM, I'm all ears.

Now, I really wish we had a cam option I'm about to do the timing belt and water pump and what better time than that to throw in cams, but it doesn't look like the 3.7 gets any love there. And I would not do regrinds, never have and it's just a personal opinion but never would.

Anyway, all in all this last week has completely transformed my car. I loved it before, now it's more fun, faster, and stops better! Tomorrow I get my summer tires back on. Next mod - suspension. 100k mile shocks are probably not performing optimally, after all. But, those will have to wait a bit. Hell it took me a year just to install the j-pipe

Todd

The reason why Tune 4 didn't work out for you is because it's meant for cars with precat deletes or high flow precats in addition to jpipe and exhaust. If you had those, you would definitely be able to tell the difference. Great mods though and ktuner is a plus. Once you get suspension, you will really enjoy the ride.

That's what I was figuring. The wording "up to PCD/J-Pipe" threw me off I do wish there were a couple other mods for this thing. I've always loved cars with a mild cam upgrade. But it's not a dealbreaker. Frankly, I've had this car longer than I had my EVO IX MR. Not saying the TL is "better" but for my purposes - long commutes, love the sound system, and nasty winters, the TL is perfect for my needs and no slouch.

I will eventually get around to PCDs. K-tuner can defeat the CELs for nixing those, right? Thanks again for the heads up, always nice to have a little confirmation.

After driving for a bit... Flash back to stock. Then you really notice the differences. The tune should be smooth and maybe that doesn't make it feel as if it's propelling you forward as much as it is.

I figured out my issue. I haven't reflashed over to 4 to try it out but all along the issue has been an air filter that really needed changed. Kind of embarrassed about that but it is what it is I put in the highest performance, $14 purolator air filter Advance Auto had to offer and my goodness, everything has improved dramatically.

The car never felt "slow" before but as it sits today with a properly breathing engine, no 3rd cat and KTuner + Tune2, it's so much more responsive, it definitely feels faster in all parts of the powerband, and I couldn't be happier!

Now for some lighter wheels and maybe PCDs at some point

I'd like to contribute a dyno run. Car was taken to Noribilt fabrication in San Antonio, TX. They deal with a lot of boosted set ups and AWD so I figured this is the place to be for my 2010 SH AWD 6 Speed. Here are the results taken from what I believe is a Mustang Dyno

2010 Acura TL SH AWD 6 Speed
RV6 High Flow Primary Cats
RV6 Long Tube J Pipe (deletes 3rd cat)
ATLP Resonated Quad Exhaust
K-Tuner

Car 1st run without Tune, and 2nd run with K Tune

Those are fantastic results, wow! And I would think (?) AFR is pretty rich still, shouldn't that be up closer to 12:1 with an N/A setup?

I would bet they didn't install an O2 to monitor. The line is flat. Nice numbers overall!

Is it possible for the consumer to reflash this back to stock? Need to get a new engine thanks to the 3.7 oil consumption issues.........
