It won't be necessary to tune after installing our XLR8 crank pulley. It is stock diameter so just frees up rotating weight. It won't affect A/F ratios or anything like that.

Is it worth it for an auto?

It's like the first step in changing a timing belt, so it's much easier. This only involves removing the splash cover and serpentine belt. It's nothing close to a timing belt service. And like a previous poster mentioned. You need A high torque impact or rig up something and use your might with a cheater bar.

As ncx mentioned, the pulley replaces the stock crank pulley in the serpentine/auxillary system. Not only that, but the J series is internally balanced so our Crank pulley won't impact impact engine balance in any way.
Right now there isn't any promo code, but if you PM me your zip code I'll see what I can do to get the shipping down!

K tuner has been ordered!! Thanks to Richie from RV6.
Mods: CTE Icebox, PCD, XLR8 long j pipe
Question:
1. Does base map for pcd/j pipe include disabling downstream O2 sensors? (If not, is it easy to do).
2. Does anyone think (with a tune) that car will make more power with the stock j pipe vs long j pipe? Presuming pcd are installed in both cases.
I will get turbogixxer to tune the car later in the month as well. I believe he relocated to Seattle area so might drive down from Vancouver, Canada to see him.....

Oh what!? Turbogixxer moved to my area! May have to get him out to my dyno spot and have him tune.

To the guys from Canada, do you recommend Toronto or Montreal? A couple friends and I are planing on taking a trip in March. We're looking for good bars, clubs, and nightlife mainly and also some good restaurants. Sorry this is off topic! Thanks guys.

Go to the Eastern Canadian board thats unit's in the Region area in here. I'm in Toronto but I'm a transplant but those guys on that board can help you.

Mods include k&n air filter, rv6 v2 jpipe and xlr8 catback (and stock cats). Hope this helps for those who are on the fence about which exhaust mods to get.

K&N drop in filter? Or the intake itself? and are your Auto or 6-Speed SH-AWD.

What is the best set of wheels to tune on? Planning to go dyno soon. Only have oem 19's and aftermarket 20's. I sold my 18's but I have access to a set. I'm sure the weight makes a difference. How will switching affect my tune? Should I just stick with my 19's?
#433
Personally, I would use which ever wheel-set I was going to be driving on in good conditions (for me that is summer wheels/tires). I don't know if it will make a difference for the tune, but it will show different torque/hp numbers (most likely lower for the 20s).

Yes it will change your dyno numbers. Stick with the 19s even though it's still heavy but not as heavy as those 20" work wheels. I plan on getting HFPC installed soon and throw on a set of forged 20s and get it retuned again.

Its not my daily and driven on both sets evenly. I have new wheels coming in but I'll get it done on my 19's.
Thanks guys.

I got all my go fast mods completed finally except for tune so that's the next step for me. Tuning on the OEM 19's just have to schedule a date and time now.

Still unsure. Gotta call around for pricing. Only doing dyno tune.
